Regent St. store is stocked up!
FYI: the Regent St. store received a big shipment yesterday (Tuesday). I cancelled my online Apple order and picked up a 16GB shortly before closing last night.
There were plenty left, so head on in this morning if you want to grab one

took mine from ordering to delivery just 10 days. well before the times quoted by the apple store online (mine is supposed to be delivered by the 25th !)

ordered monday came today. Week 40 no issues that I can find. Im typing this on it. Realy pleased. Looking forward to post Leopard software updates and some post Feb 2008 apps.

and they did (Amazon have seriously got their distribution sorted), loaded it up with mp3, mp4 and jpgs, beautiful device, just wondering if they are going to come up with some headphones that can let me skip tracks and change volume now
Other than that I'm smitten, experimenting with bitrates for video. Just one question, I can only get wi-fi working if I turn off encryption, is this normal ?

Well what seemed like a total drought there does seems to be loads of Ipod touchs available.
My local John Lewis ( High Wycombe ) must have had about 10 to 15 available in a display cabinet.

Amazon's never let me down and usually delivers on the early side of estimates.
What week are the serial numbers on the iPod Touches being sent out by amazon.co.uk? Having just today received a week 37 from Apple in replacement of a week 38 received two weeks ago from them (!), I'm getting a refund. Looks as though apple are already trying to palm off refurbished Touches to customers, so its time to place a new order either with Apple again or with someone like Amazon.
