Very interesting! Seems to confirm suspicions that the 3Gs were here all along... :rolleyes:

I guess my 'shipped but not on TNT tracking yet' 3G is also in Birmingham, a 40 minute drive for me!

But what does this mean for me? Is my 16GB 3G suddenly going to change from prep to shipped to 'oops its here'!? I ordered at 12:21GMT I dont understand how it could of been left behind:confused:

Apparently my 3G is in the UK too as well as the other bits. But the other bits are not in same place. He said just waiting for the iPad to join them. He also said they are being held for despatch so they arrive on Friday.
 
I'm on my iPhone so can't send a pic.
Sorry for not responding guys, I was in an exam while all this happened, got out of the exam n checked delivery app and it says 1 DAY! Apparently delivering tomorrow!!! I'm not relying on it as it's subject to change but if the iPads are based in Birmingham then UPS will collect it today and the tracking will say so. Hang in there guys! :)
btw, it changed from prepd to shipped in about 12 hours.
 
My 32GB 3G is 'Prepared for Shipment' as from this morning.

I wonder if the international shipments will go directly to customers, or go to an apple distribution centre for delivery on friday?

According to my order, the case is already with the iPad so we'll see.
If estimated delivery stays as the 25th by tonight, I'm going home from uni to wait.
 
My nearest depot is 11.2 miles away from my house, hopefully they can give me mine before friday if i ask nicely

I dont mind what day it comes. Friday is fine. As long as I know as I dont want to have to sit in the house all week, just in case.
 
I have been doing a little detective work on my order. My iPad is shipping with TNT Nederland (mine is a WiFi model, so not all are shipping from China) and like a lot of other TNT-ers my tracking number is incorrect.

Well anyway, I have found where my iPad and dock are and will be shipping from in Holland! A very non-descript building apart from the MASSIVE Apple on the side. Also it is a bank holiday in Holland today (as it is here in sunny Germany) for Pentecost, so I don't expect it to move until tomorrow or middle of the night.
 
Phew I can stop panicking now, after almost 3 days of not moving at all according to the tracker, my ipad has finally made it to Hong Kong.

As far as I know the plane is currently on the ground and will be departing in about 16 hours.
 
Any one here have a UPS tracking number which works?

On apple.com (US) I get a 1ZW.... or something - two actually, 1 for iPad and 1 for accessories. Neither work on the UPS site (both UK, USA or China)

One apple.com/uk (UK) I get an 8.... something. Apparently auto detect apps say this is a DHL reference number. But neither UPS, TNT or DHL know about it.

Wierd.

Thoughts?

Mine is exactly the same!

US Site shows two '1ZW7V...' numbers, one for the iPad and one for the case; UK site shows a single '8115...' number, both show the assigned carrier as UPS, UPS knows nothing!

Especially annoying as Apple have had my money since the 10th (paid with a Maestro card, so bank debited immediately). :mad:

I think that's exactly how it is:

TNT International=Trackable from China
TNT UK=Non Trackable (for now anyway) already in the UK

Just don't ask me about UPS, I aint got a clue :p
 
Its Monday............ Ipad has not been promised until Friday, thats a whole 5 days to go. Why are people panicking? you'll get your device, eventually and even if its not on Friday ( its not the end of the world !!).

My (Italian) wi-fi iPad is shipping with TNT Nederland too. May I ask how you found out where yours is?

I was only panicking because my ipad didnt move for 3 days and people whose ipads left the factory later than mine reached HK before me. Plus I had foolishly looked at when the main 747 flight from HK to Europe was going, and time was running out. Granted I would survive if it did not arrive in time for Friday but with the bank holiday weekend I really wanted it by the end of this week.

Apple site (and widget looking at apple site) says delivery tomorrow as well, with a "subject to change", and UPS tracking number has changed from Apple's tracking number to a UPS '1Z...' one - but UPS site just says "billing received" and gives no dates. I suspect the delivery date of tomorrow is wrong and once the UPS and Apple systems align properly it will go back to Friday.

I've taken Friday off (not just for the delivery!) and will be in a whole different bit of the UK tomorrow, so it will be annoying if the 25th is right!
