If you click it it will switch between the products in your order, i.e. if you have an iPad, Case and Dock it will toggle between each of those

Hey thanks for that, although I can't click just the dot (this is on my iPhone), it takes me into the order and shows the list of items with little numbers in black dots??

Why are people saying apple have made a mess of things? They said they were going to deliver Friday. It's Wednesday. I've never, on anything, had tracking any sooner than 1-2 days before delivery, which is, according to apple, Friday!

Apple says delivered by 25 May. UPS still says "Billing Information Received".

In other words, no change. UPS still doesn't have the packages.

To be honest, we don't have to worry. Ours are already in the UK, so no need for UPS to update yet. Whereas the TNT people, their iPad still has to get into the country.
Just sit back and watch them fret :p

Mine's updated to this:

Delivery Date

26 May 2010 15:35:00 Nuneaton Shipment In Transit.

Lovely stuff. Tomorrow would be lovely. Friday will be just fine. :D

Well, for starters, the delivery date on the tracking says I should have received my iPad yesterday.

Just spoke to Apple. They said the 27th delivery date is a default from shipping confirmation and that absolutely no one will be receiving their iPads tomorrow.

She apologised but made sure to once more press that ALL iPads will be delivered friday.

To be fair, do we expect the official line from Apple to be anything else?

Apples official International iPad launch is the 28th, and for all intents and purposes that's what it will be. Nobody at Apple from Steve Jobs down to the retail store employee's are going to tow away from that line. The 28th is Apples launch day and officially it always will be.

Whether that prevents couriers from delivering stock as and when they get it is another matter, I think. That will probably come down to whether UPS and TNT a.) honor the launch date and b.) can actually hold down every one of the thousands upon thousands of packages they're getting from Apple. Even if there is a good will arrangement in place regarding packages being delivered no earlier than Friday, I think it's inevitable that afew may sneak past.

I suppose the mess that people are referring to is either that people were given tracking numbers far earlier than the numbers worked. Or that there is much confusion about delivery date, this argument about Thursday or Friday, which will inconvenience some people if they miss their parcel or take a day off work for no reason.

Given that this is not the first global launch of this product, I suspect the priority will be making sure that everyone gets their iPads no later than Friday, rather than worrying about some getting theirs a day early.

And I live in Nottingham, which isn't far away so I hope to get this tomorrow!

Call from TNT today re. delivery - UK

TNT rang today asking if i would be in for delivery tomorrow (Thurs).

happy days. :)

I don't think it's even an oddity. In normal circumstances Apple would electronically send the billing info prior to shipment and UPS would pickup the packages shortly afterwards.

This isn't a normal situation. Apple has obviously held back from providing UPS with the packages to ensure that iPads aren't delivered before the day of release.

Hey guys :)

I'm getting my 32GB WiFi delivered to my Dad's office in London, but he is not gonna be there at the time so someone else will have to sign for it. It's coming by UPS - does anyone know if that will be a problem?

Thanks.

Mine also with TNT and in Nuneaton. My Apple tracking also says delivery tomorrow. I am not fretting.

I called TNT earlier and they said that as long as it gets to the local warehouse by dispatch time tomorrow it'll be out for delivery tomorrow .. here's hoping!! .. I can at least track now and it's at the warehouse but not 'logged in' yet !!

Loopy who has been looking around the iPad app store in preparation all day!

Lucky you! Mines still not shipped but says delivery by 28th and Apple have never lied to me yet so still believing!!!

It does work on the iPhone. Just double tap the delivery and it will cycle through the items in your order. I have mine set to item 2 as that's my iPad :)

Ahaaaa, that's it, brilliant, thank you so much, didn't think to double tap it, doh!
:)
