Any idea if iPad Pro will be available to buy from carriers (e.g. Three) like with iPads? Often eases the initial cash flow!

I think at first its only available from Apple online, their press release says "iPad Pro available to order online Wednesday and arrives in stores later this week"

Macworld have reviewed the Apple Pencil and also list the Pencil price at £79. There review is favourable of the Apple Pencil noting that it is "impressively fast and accurate" http://www.macworld.co.uk/review/ios-accessories/apple-pencil-review-3628705/

Price estimates seem to be correct. A Macworld UK journalist has the press release.

Yes, according to press release above.

they seem to be missing an important price there....
It's exactly the same format as the US press release: they didn't mention the 128GB Wi-Fi either. But since every other guess was spot on I think we can safely assume 128GB Wi-Fi will be £799.

Yea it is, it's always an extra £100 for the cellular version so £799 for the Wifi only 128GB version, the one i want to get with Apple Pencil and a Smart Case :)

Has there been any pictures of the smart cases etc?

I'm stuck on whether to get 32gb or 128..

I use iCloud photos so don't need tons of storage and I won't be using it for work or anything, just for my own personal use.

Might get the 32gb and a case

£679 32GB WiFi
£799 128GB WiFi
£899 128GB WiFi + Cellular

Ouch.

Smart cover £49? Double ouch.

Is the case just the back? Or does it cover both the front and back?
The cover is just the front, and the case is just the back. So if you want complete protection that'll be £114.

I was hoping/expecting £35 for the Smart Cover.

Ouch, I may just get the case to protect the back OR get the keyboard case because it's not much dearer than this!

As you've pointed out, I think it's priced to encourage upsell towards the keyboard.

I'm sure the keyboard will sell well but its hideousness, the price tag, and the fact that it's only in a US layout (with the horrid return key) means it's a no from me.

Let's face it, if you slapping a keyboard on an iPad you should be using a 12" MacBook :p

I'll just be going with the cover. Only because it provides functionality as a stand. Protection wise I never go for cases.

US only? i may just stick with the case to protect the back, the white looks the best but the only thing that worries me is that white tends to get dirty really easily.

With the somewhat vague info so far, are we assuming it'll be in store from Friday?

May take my chances going to the store, I've had bad experiences with preordering anything that's been soft launched in the past, my order coming loooong after they've been available in stores.

If I was close enough to a store I'd order one online Wednesday and if it's not showing as arriving Friday I'd cancel and go get one from a store. Hedging my bets!

The problem is that by then your order will most likely be preparing for despatch, i.e. not cancelable.

So then have to deal with the hassle of returning, and being without 800-odd quid for a week or two.

I will be at work on Wednesday morning, I wonder if the first batch will see our quick like the iPhones do, I can order when I get back on a break but it will likely be a couple of hours after orders go live :( hopefully they don't sell out too quick.

So if we order on Wednesday when do we think we shall actually receive it ? Do we think Thursday ?

I have no source whatsoever but I would say Thursday is optimistic. First deliveries would be Friday I think. I think that's what happened with the Apple TV.

And I'd expect to see them in stores on Thursday or Friday.

Will be checking Covent Garden on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to be safe. Nice that it's a short walk from uni! :p

I'm just going to go to the store and look at the nice shiny new thing I can't afford :(

Definitely don't want to bother having to return an online order. Money isn't the issue, and besides I'd probably buy using different debit cards to avoid confusion between the orders.

If we knew for certain it was releasing in store on Friday I feel confident that if I get there early enough I'd probably snag what I want. Can't see there being a massive queue for 128gb cellulars. Not saying they won't sell out, but if I'm there at store opening I'd fancy my chances. If Friday was definitely launch day that is.
