Well the business day just started here on the east coast, so maybe they can. But sorry, they are pleasing the American customers this time.
If they're not going to bring the American stores down at all, the American customers wouldn't care when the European stores goes down

ALL THE EUROPEAN STORES CAN'T GO DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSINESS DAY WITHOUT THERE BEING AN UPDATE?!

*remember to take deep breaths*

Can they? (Sorry about the shouting ;) )

Well usually there's some update but it could be as minor as a price drop on a few lines or something. Those awaiting new iBooks and Mini's will just have to keep hoping - and remember not to hold their breath...

ATI Mobility Radeon 9550 graphics processor with 32MB of dedicated video memory and AGP 4X support

Is that enough for the ripple effect?

WOW! A minor speed bump! This was really worth waiting :D  :(
I'm so glad I have a 12" Powerbook (almost the same hardware as the iBook, but a different color). ;)

lower overall memory capacity tho (1.25GB for pbook, 1.5GB for ibook)

So basically just a RAM upgrade for both and Radeon 9550, whatever that is, for the iBook.

Boring but necessary updates, I guess.

These updates are plain silly! The iBooks were a year old!

Just compare these updates with the last eMac or iMac updates!

Woohoo updates! As if we couldn't guess... And I'm quite happy that 512mb is now standard memory for everything. Very good.

The Tech Spec says "512MB PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM; supports up to 1.5GB; 1 available expansion slot", which means that the iBooks are better upgradeable with non-Apple RAM than the 12" Powerbook. This iBook update should really be accompanied by a Powerbook price drop...
