If this iPhone air has no physical SIM card tray, good luck selling at regions where they do not have eSIM support.
Another US only device?

But it’s rumored to have a 120hz display, so they don’t seem too worried about battery life 🤷‍♂️
Yup, since it'll be a ProMotion display, it won't be running at 120 Hz all the time, but more like 10-20% of the time in average daily use, unless someone is frequently in long, high frame rate gaming sessions, or spending most of their time scrolling and/or swiping (though the display ramps up to 120 Hz for any speed of scrolling, it ramps back down quickly once your finger is off the display), and watching high frame rate video (above 60 Hz). Tests find that iPhones with a ProMotion display get either the same or slightly better battery runtime compared to similar iPhone models that contain a display that runs at 60Hz all the time, due to ProMotion's variable refresh rate.

No doubt it will be a good phone. But my only disappointment is the rumors regarding single camera especially when the camera island/bump is supposedly going to be much thicker. Waiting to see what the price will be. Maybe $999. Pro model might get a $100 increase along with 256GB as base storage and then the Pro Max getting another $100 increase to maintain the current $200 gap between Pro and Pro Max.

$ 999 for a phone with all the missing features? 🤣😂🤣
I think it will be $999 because of the 6.9-inches size and thinner display, but you know how Apple is—they always keep their prices high. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s another cash grab. They’ll advertise this phone with extreme long battery life. That’s it. And yeah, no one asked for this phone.
And it also will come months after the thin Samsung is out. Looks like Apple is in a panic mode. Their hardware is nothing special anymore and they’re years behind in software.

Google Gemini is already available in 45 languages and Apple is still struggling with English.

If I had to choose I would rather have a folding phone then a super thin phone.

same I feel like we have been here before with bendgate, surely people are just going to be trying to bend there super think air phones?

I’m all for Apple introducing new designs so long as they don’t compromise on efficiency. But an off-centre USB-C port seems unbelievable for a company that used to mock the lack of symmetry on Android devices.

This iPhone is very important for Apples upcoming foldable phone. It‘s a clever way to get them there

This is the first phone I've had any real excitement for in a while, but I think I may hold off until next model year, sometimes I feel like new products from apple need a 2nd revision to hit the mark.

Apple gave up on symmetry a LONG time ago. Camera tumor out front should have told you.

I'm not.

ZERO chance of me buying this. A thinner phone is stupid, and the exact opposite of what I want.
1) We don't know if the thin phone rumor is true. Apple often puts out disinformation to help find leakers. It has happened many times before.

2) A lot of people on this forum have different needs and use cases for an iPhone. You desiring a larger phone is not unusual.

3) There was no need to put the word zero is caps. I can read just fine and putting it in caps doesn't change the meaning of the word.

4) Laughing at my post was also uncalled for and rather rude given I merely stated my personal preference, which was very logical.

Yeah, Apple just keeps getting dumber.

I mean, I don't want a smaller screen, zero interest in that. I want a bigger screen.

But Apple is a big enough company that they could maintain a coherent product line with room for both of us, and for everybody else.

I want a phone thick enough to not have a camera tumor, a screen big enough that I can choose easily readable or lots of data depending on how my eyes are behaving that day, lots of battery, a home button and no stupid notch/pill, and a headphone jack would be amazing.

I'd be fine with a camera with the resolution of a flip phone from 2001. I just don't care that much about taking pictures with my phone, when I do it's mostly just to grab the password off the back of a printer or modem.

To me, the product lineup that would make sense is a grid with cheap, medium, and pro, with 3 screen sizes in each. Pro gets the fancy camera, medium the double camera, pro the ultra-stupid camera. 4.5", 5.5", and 6.9" screens as options for all 3 models. I'd be fine with cheap, 6.9" LCD screen, single camera, big battery. I don't care about AI. I care that the speaker is good enough for excellent voice quality.

I don't see anywhere that a thin phone matters. But if they want to add a 4th "compromised" column, the "Air" would go there.
