I hate people who do the dummy design phones, when it's just what the cameras and back will be like

Hardly surprising, if that's true. As people hold on to their phones longer, there really isn't much of an incentive for Apple to keep redesigning the form factor of their devices ever so often. The iPhone X form factor was around for 3 years (X, Xs, 11), and it's likely Apple will do the same for the iPhone 12 form factor (if not longer).

Fingers crossed that 8K video recording will be a setting that can be disabled.

What I would like to see is higher slow motion frame rate. iPhone has been stuck at 240fps since the iPhone 6 (720p) and was bumped to 1080p in the iPhone 8, but still 240fps max.

Most of the higher end competition allow for 720p/480fps, some higher but with limitations on recording time.

Well the thing is, what other form factors will they choose from? Back to the 3G, 3GS form factor? There aren't really many choices these days. Maybe curved sides and a flat top.

This would be really nice for sure, but I suspect it's a bandwidth bottleneck somewhere that's a limiting factor. If the 14's camera can do 8K30, it would technically be the same bandwidth needs as 4K120..

Even if we could get 4K120, or 1440p240 with Dolby Vision, that would be a major quality improvement over what we have now (1080p240 SDR).

Petty pedantic post incoming.

Pills come in all kinds of shapes. I take a pill every day, but it’s circular. So when I read the holes on the front of various iPhone 14 models will be ‘one pill-shaped and one circular’ I have to wonder if there isn’t a better term for the non-circular shape, such as stadium.

Even better (or at least funnier IMHO) perhaps, from that page is sausage body. :D

The dummy model is interesting, I admit. Seen a lot of his videos with Apple stuff and many other devices, the guy doesn't bug me that much.

I just envy his darn warehouse looking basement "Bat cave!" ?,I would love a room like this in my house...heck off site somewhere to chill, but I don't see that happening unless I win Powerball.

Stupid ****. He doesnt know how to review stuff. He enumerates features and just gives his opinions.
No technical basis whatsoever. He just whines and talks to that guy with the headset.
Annoying AF

Well it's an issue for lots of people, apparently. Those who don't use a case, I guess.

My biggest design complaint is putting the sleep button opposite the volume controls. I've taken numerous screen-shots because of that.

Hahha... this is me.

Everyone complaining about Unboxed Therapy, who is your go to then? Jon Prosser probably.
I really like MKBHD, Dave2D, a few of the Linus Media Group channels (so LTT, Mac Address, etc), UrAvgConsumer, and JerryRigEverything. Basically channels producing high-quality and varied content. Jonathan Morrison was a good one too, but I feel he went in a different direction with music creation and whatnot (still a great content creator, just not in areas I'm interested in).

Unbox Therapy isn't a producer of high-quality content in my opinion. Clickbaity, dishonest, and it just felt like every video for a while was just trying to repeat the success of the iPhone 6 "bendgate" video.

Just a reminder that Unbox Therapy do paid reviews (positive) but don't state their reviews are paid reviews.
That may have been historically true, however content creators are required to flag / disclose paid-for reviews or sponsorships as per the YouTube T&Cs. This was a huge thing a few years ago, and for the better.
