Wasn't insinuating, flat out said it.

Consider yourself enlightened.

So you're clearly the type of person to insult people because of your own insecurities. Now I have no idea if you are insecure so my statement is totally unfair in the same way you stating I'm delusional...Can I advise you to be careful of what type of statements you make towards others, it may one day get you into trouble.

So just because the renowned :)rolleyes:) Richard Darell makes a little chart about so called smart phones that makes it conclusive?!

We obviously have a very different take on what's classed as a smart phone....and in the future I'll let you know when I'm enlightened not the other way around.

You know what I can't believe, that people who can't stretch their imaginations to come up with ways certain devices could be used, go on to a forum where they find people who can and then tell them *they* are a bunch of mindless consumers. Just because we can imagine something that you cannot makes us mindless? I think you've got that bass ackwards.

I have an iMac, but it doesn't travel well. Used to have an iPad, but sold it, don't want another one that sized (it's too large), I want portability. I want something the size of my Kindle with iOS running on it (I've got lots of apps I bought from the days I owned the iPad). See how that works? Still think we're all a bunch of mindless half-wits?

if you think its useful go for it dont take me wrong i like apple

You don't have to get all butthurt about being proven wrong.

For your further enlightenment:

In 1973, Theodore George “Ted” Paraskevakos patented the concepts of combining intelligence, data processing and visual display screens with telephones, outlining the now commonplace activities of banking and paying utility bills via telephone.[4]

The first cellular phone to incorporate PDA features was an IBM prototype developed in 1992 and demonstrated that year at the COMDEX computer industry trade show. A refined version of the product was marketed to consumers on 16 August 1994 by BellSouth under the name Simon Personal Communicator. The Simon was the first device that can be properly referred to as a "smartphone", even though that term was not yet coined.[5][14] In addition to its ability to make and receive cellular phone calls, Simon was also able to send and receive facsimiles, e-mails and pages through its touch screen display. Simon included many applications including an address book, calendar, appointment scheduler, calculator, world time clock, games, electronic note pad, handwritten annotations and standard and predictive touchscreen keyboards.

In 1996, Nokia released the Nokia 9000, part of the Nokia Communicator line which became their best-selling phone of that time. It was a palmtop computer-style phone combined with a PDA from HP. In early prototypes, the two devices were fixed together via a hinge in what came to be described as a clamshell design. When opened, the display of 640×200 pixels was on the inside top surface and with a physical QWERTY keyboard on the bottom. Email and text-based web browsing was provided via their GEOS V3.0 operating system.

In the late 1990s though, the vast majority of mobile phones had only basic phone features so many people also carried a separate dedicated PDA device, running early versions of operating systems such as Palm OS, BlackBerry OS or Windows CE/Pocket PC.[1] These operating systems would later evolve into mobile operating systems and power some of the high-end smartphones.

In early 2001, Palm, Inc. introduced the Kyocera 6035, the first smartphone in the United States. This device combined the a PDA with a mobile phone and operated on the Verizon Wireless network. It also supported limited web browsing.[15] The device was not adopted widely outside North America.[16]

In 2004, HP released the iPaq h6315, a device that combined their previous PDA, the HP 2215 with cellular capability.[17]

The iPad Mini itself is cool but the box is boring. The new iMac box looks really innovative though. Would so like to see an unboxing of that.

different packaging. so where is the adapter on that one?

When I placed an order for the girlfriends mini, it asked meif I would like to buy an adaptor for it.....I'm not holding out much hope that there will be one supplied.:(

Go back a few pages in this thread.... ok ok. I went back for you.

It comes with the same adapters as the iphones come with.

I love everything about the iPad mini including the box lol. However, I'd love a Retina display as everyone would. I actually don't mind paying more for that, but I guess the technology is not ready in a 7.9-inch screen.

I imagine it is ready, they just want to pad it out so the update looks better next year. It is possible costs could be an issue at the moment.

Got my 'shipped' email last night from Apple, tried the tracking number in UPS's website and nothing showing - guess that means they're holding it back until tomorrow - bummer!

I know this isn't relevant to the OT but after reading so many asinine comments by apple haters here on MACRUMORS...I just have to ask why? Why do people feel the need to come on an apple site to put down apple wether sarcastically or straight out? I don't see any iOS fans purpously going on android forums to bash them...sheesh! Jealous much? I could care less what phone/computer/tablet/Os you use. Some of my closest friends are "Phandroids" calm down.
