Who cares about the iPad mini. ? When you. Have iPad or Mac. Save your money. Can't believe when apple makes something called ***** they will buy it no matter what

Apple's 7.9 Inches has far fewer pixels than competing 7-inch tablets! You're cramming a worse screen in there, charging more, and accusing others of compromise? Ballsy.
"If you want to save $50 and buy a cheap-ass tablet, go ahead. If you want quality, the iPad mini will be waiting for you when you come to your senses."

You know for all the Apple crap I order on launch day just once I'd like to be the guy who gets an early delivery of something.

Yeah I'm selfish, deal with it. :D

And nobody will have iTunes 11 until the end of November... so Apple's gotta come up with a patch real quick-like.

Not a big deal. They likely only need to tell itunes to recognize the new iPads, so that is an easy addition. They were just planning on doing that in itunes 11, so they'll need an interim .z release.

Would be awesome if we didn't have to use iTunes at all and could just use it like a hard drive.

Never been a fan of iTunes.

I wouldn't mind so much if iTunes wasn't so bloated, or if it were rather a suite of apps that loaded on demand, instead of everything-at-once...

You have to think Apple is working towards that. Heck, even the iTunes name itself doesn't properly describe what the app is and does.

Maybe the functionality needs to simply be baked into OSX for those on Macs and kept as a standalone app suite, ala Office, for those on Windows. Given the iCloud integration, there is less and less reason to have a program that is simply redundant to what's happening in the cloud.

take all the isheep from the sales numbers and lets see how it stacks up in sales against other 7 inch tablets.

No, what I can't believe is that people like you waste your time on boards telling other people what THEY are wasting their money on! Seriously. Why do you even care?

Maybe people who already have a Mac and an iPad REALLY want an iPad mini. Maybe they prefer the smaller size of the larger iPad they already have an love. Maybe they plan to give the larger iPad to someone in their family, sell it, or whatever. What's it to you?

You know what I can't believe, that people who can't stretch their imaginations to come up with ways certain devices could be used, go on to a forum where they find people who can and then tell them *they* are a bunch of mindless consumers. Just because we can imagine something that you cannot makes us mindless? I think you've got that bass ackwards.

I have an iMac, but it doesn't travel well. Used to have an iPad, but sold it, don't want another one that sized (it's too large), I want portability. I want something the size of my Kindle with iOS running on it (I've got lots of apps I bought from the days I owned the iPad). See how that works? Still think we're all a bunch of mindless half-wits?

You crammed that in there sarcastically just to get it in before the inevitable whining continues right?

Right, and this coming from someone who has never even seen the thing, there is more to it than just resolution when looking at screen quality. Typical spec. junky comment.

Copied and pasted right from Gizmodo, right?

We get it, you don't like it. Don't buy it, stop the whining.

Those attacking, you realize this a quote from Amazon with the Kindle, right?

And they will sell 10-20 times more than those competing 7 inch tablets!

I bet they will, regardless if the lower resolution at this time people coming from an iPad 2 could like this even more, same pixels in a smaller device. I may have my issues with a lot of things Apple does or does not do yet I doubt I will ever understand the mindless drone comments because someone buying habits do not match their own.

I would likely go for a larger one, however I am curious what next year will hold for the iPad mini, other tablets are nice as well, there are reasons to stick with the IOS system.

I also imagine a lot of people will be okay with the power and resolution and find the smaller size worth it even if it is not the best value out there. Which is relative.

Funny b.c I always keep all of my original packaging and when I sell my products it looks brand new. The cables always take me a while to wind up b.c my OCD haha.

Exactly what i do. I even kept the plastic front and back protector of the third gen iPad. And when i sold it a week before iPad mini announcement i ended up geting on eBay just around £80 less then i paid for it back on March. No scraches, no marks.... nothing! Just like new. And i always do the same with my gadgets. God bles eBay :D

Wow...the mini looks soooo small on that MacBook pro! Is that a 15" MacBook pro its laying on? Or a 17"?

Looks small enough to use as a smartphone!

I preordered the white, 64gig cellular model on October 26.

Gonna transfer my unlimited att data plan from my first gen iPad to the mini and use it to make and recieve calls on my VOIP apps. The iPad works great for that, but since the iPad mini is so much smaller, it'll make the perfect portable web surfing and smartphone replacement. All in one baby! :p

Can fit that puppy in my back pocket. Plus I already have big hands. :)

See, that is what the stupid Fandroids don't realize. Apple sells a lot more product, and makes hugely more profits than any of their heroes will ever do.

They can preen and gloat and preach and moan, but when it comes right down to it, Apple makes the most profits, and they cannot ever deny it.

Let them CLAIM that their crappy Android stuff is better, but when you show them the bottom line, they slink away with their tails between their legs. Stupid Fandroids! Will they ever learn?

Why do you care that Apple makes more profit per device vs the other guys? The only ones that care about Apple's profits and like the extreme mark ups are investors and "iSheep".

People who genuinely like the ipad mini would love it just as much if it cost $299 and made Apple less profit.

I wonder how long this thing will take to charge up fully with that mini power adapter?

P.S. I love it when people come to a MAC/APPLE forum and spit their trash talk not expecting to get belted by another user.

IMHO - I personally think Apple are losing the plot now - this is a 'frippery' .. and and is a solution to a problem that never existed in the first place ...

The iPad was needed as a 'switch on and go' laptop screen sized unit at a competitive price .. and did it admirably

This however is an oddity or folly compared to Apple's best days .. which now appear to be a bit of a memory after the iPhone 5 and MacBook 'screen refreshes' ... both hardly ground breaking ....

Apple seem to be resting on their laurels - their past ingenuity ...again .. my opinion .. but in the last 3 months things appear to now be rehashes of old kit.

A bigger screened iPhone 4 .. a better screened Macbook .. and now.. a smaller screened iPad .. basically ... we've run out of ideas a bit and we're hoping the fanboys' hysteria will compensate for this lack of forward thinking.

Shall we try another sized notebook?. Why not a 4 inch Macbook Air that fits in the pocket? Yeah baby! Its got the Apple name on it .. I'll buy a dozen please!.

Shall we attempt to combine two iPod Touches glued back to back to give double the experience? Who cares .. so long as Apple say its ok .. I'll get my preorders in before its even announced thank you very much!.

Compared to just a year ago the line up of Apple Macbooks .. and Tablets is getting very confusing now - and thats not good. That has always been the attraction of Apple to me - simplicity and clarity of what customer profile their stuff is aimed at .. now its blurred to the point of confusion - and when that happens - the impulse buy effect dissipates ..... lets hope they can pull it back before Samsung and Microsoft steal their thunder instead of what used to be the other way round a mere few years ago ...

When I sold my mac, I put it back in that plastic wrap too, and the person was like...did you even use it? I lined up the part where the paper rips on the back.
