Warranty will not apply to antenna issue, as Apple has yet to say it is really an issue with the phone. so far it is:
1. User Error - Not holding it right
2. Software Error - Minor Software Issue with how bar are displayed
3. Physics - Common to any phone
4. Non-Issue - Only 0.55% of iPhone 4 Users have called
You will note no where on the list is Antenna Issue, so no warranty replacements, nor has Apple made any statement of the kind that they are changing the design and will replace the handsets of those affected under warranty.
Half this thread is repeating what Steve Jobs told them to say. The other half is saying this is more than death grip, it's I touch my iPhone wrong and calls drop.
If you touch any phone wrong in any kind of spotty coverage it will drop a call. I have yet to drop a call holding my IPhone 4 PERIOD, let alone with average / great coverage.
This is the point. Everyone is too blind with rage at apple (for what?).
The Phone works out of the box. You don't need anything extra for it to work.
Every phone out there has this problem, the only difference is that the IPhone is visibly easy to see WHERE TO CAUSE THE PROBLEM. I can replicate this issue on my previous Droid, my GF's Blackberry. Has this ever been an issue before? No... why is it now........... uhhhhhhh **** if I know because people think their phones define them and they must attack the enemy! I really don't know but it's really sad.
