Here we go!! Can’t wait to dig into the new M1X (or M2) hardware architecture, the video encoders and decoders it has, the new GPU and which cores it’s CPU is using!!!

Also, wonder if they will refresh the iPad Pro with an M2 and new displays...

I'm sort of sad that the biggest features will be the return of the ports they removed a few years ago. On the other hand, it will be great to have them back (and for the touchbar to be gone), and I'm thinking that the new chips are going to be smoking fast.

I honestly think I might just keep my M1 Air, it does everything right, so why replace for something much larger and heavier?!

Same here. A new M1X MBP would be a great piece of candy, and is something I was planning on transitioning to from my M1 MBA.

But in the almost 1 year that I've had my MBA, it has been a delight to use. Every. Single. Day. It's fast, compact, weighs little, has a decent screen, great keyboard, and a long lasting battery. Zero issues.

No need to upgrade for me.

Definitely not. M2 will take a while and also iPad Pro was released just few months ago. M1 doesn't really need to be updated on the iPad Pro for a while. Software is still lagging.

Damn....can't believe Apple broke with tradition and decided to schedule a Monday event at the very last minute! Talk about timing...It's not even 10 am either, usually when they release this sort of news...

*If* the rumored features pan out, this will be the most significant Mac related event of the last several years (maybe even the last decade?).

Woohoo boys and girls!! Hype train has officially left the station. Destination = take my money !!! Been waiting ever so patiently for a new Apple silicon MacBook. I’m an intel fan on the hackintosh side (wondering if alder lake and z690 will boot macOS), but on the notebook side, I don’t mind parting ways with intel inside to get an powerful Apple Silicon mobile processor. Woo hoo!

Hope "Unleashed" is not like this.
