I had tried to unlock my NEXT iPhone 6+ about 15 times over the last couple of weeks with no joy. Today I tried again but this time using another number on my account and my IMEI and this time I have success!
Just in time for a trip to the UK in a few months.

You need to have At&t account which means you need to be their customer.

I think this loophole has been closed. The only way people are getting their not yet paid off phones unlocked now is they are current AT&T customers and call asking for an unlock because they will be traveling internationally.

Has anyone gotten an unlock request lately?
My request has been approved today, but the email had no link or directions like previous requests.

Wii my phone be unlocked if I don’t do anything ?

Yes, for the past 3-4 years you didnt have to do anything either besides sticking the new sim inside when needed.
They were just making you do a restore for nothing.

restore the phone with itunes.

Just unlocked my 6S Plus (still owe about $450). They took 7 minutes to approve it after I confirmed my request.

Purchased an iPhone X outright,AT&T network from the Apple store.

Sent in a unlock request today.

After doing the confirmation email,I received another email saying it was flagged for fraud and unable to unlock.

I called AT&T and they checked my IMEI number and told me it was already unlocked.

I guess I need to pop in a non AT&T SIM and find out.

*edit*
When I checked the unlock portal it said it was “denied”.

Hmmmmm

AT&T iPhones purchased full price from Apple are already unlocked. That may have been the reason AT&T flagged it when you tried to complete an unlock request.

Just attempted to unlock device that still has several hundred not paid off from the NEXT program. Was approved within minutes after confirming request.

Can I truly rely on this?

Tried submi

Did you do anything special? Because I tried submitting the iPhone X that I have on next installments and it told me that I couldn't even submit because I have a balance and to try again in 48 hours when its paid off.
