That'd be cool if the new iPads were called "maxiPad"

Yeah, cause the Quadra 660av as such an elegant name during his days. The IIvx, IIci, IIsi, IIfx, IIvi, IIx, IIcx..... all such elegant names that really distinguished them apart.
The 6s and 7's will be gone....the 8 will stay.
And the LCD will be called 9
Quadra is latin and IIvx, IIci, IIsi, IIfx, IIvi, IIx, IIcx are roman numerals and are indeed used in a more formal/elegant context.
"Max" is cheap, sounds like a gatorade flavor or a large-sized chip bag. Which is not necessarily bad if it wasn't for the fact these things are sold in the $1000 range. They deserve a better name.
That's a Boeing, not an Airbus.The Airbus 737 MAX sells for $96 million. It's not cheapened by the name.
So the Plus will cost 240 euros more then the standard model, and the difference between the two will be less then the previous standard and plus models?
That’s £216, currently the iPhone 8 Plus is £100 more then the standard 8 with more extra features then the rumoured XS and XS Plus differences.
How on earth is iPhone Xs Max any less of a mouthful than iPhone Xs Plus?
I was really hoping Apple would decide this year to finally abandon their increasingly cumbersome iPhone numbering scheme. Instead it looks like they’re going to make it worse!
