from everything ive read apple is pulling out of europe. there are no plans to open an apple store anywhere in europe.

i dont know why this is, but weve heard from apple a couple times that europe is a no go.

dont get your hopes up guys.

india is an interesting choice, i would have thought japan but im sure apple's got this one thought out. a billion potencial mac users? gonna be a crowded store.

Apple Stores in India?

While I think that it might be a brilliant move for Apple to take this new iMac momentum and all and penetrate the unsuspecting Indian market.. I also think that most Indians can't possibly afford one.. they just don't have a high enough income per capita.. their marketing would be one aimed strictly at business I think.. using India as a South East Asia programming hub is probably on their minds..

The truly burning question in my mind is if I fly to India to visit the opening of the new Apple store in say Bombay or Calcutta... would each iMac come with a free side dish of yummy spicey chicken I don't know what you call'ems and that sweet cold yogurt stuff?? Will the store come complete with its own power generation plant to counter the unreliability of power in India (which typically goes up or down on a daily or hourly basis depending on the region)? Finally, are the promotional acts going to involve giving away Apple shirts, imported bottled water (guaranteed not to be refilled through a small hole in the bottom from the neighborhood sewage gutter), or a free view on a snake charming act involving belly dancing and juggling cinema displays?? :)
Give us some incentive to go!!

haha. funny, but CUT THE CRAP.

Bombay, Banglore, New Delhi... NOT the villages and stuff. MANY people have a high income, especially in those big cities, but its just that 80 % of India is rural... so the whole India's income looks small.

And what? do they sell hot dogs and burgers at Apple stores? Would they be selling sushi and fish if Apple stores come to Japan? NO!

Okay, Im getting a little too over excited here, but I just cant stand this. PLEASE dont do that, no matter if its a joke or not.

I thought the NYC store would've been critical to open ASAP, but let Apple do what they must. I'd been hankering for an Apple Store (I live just north of NYC), and when the Tice's Corner store opened in NJ, I thought I'd get around to visiting.

Incidently, the Palisades Mall is MUCH closer, and found that the Apple Store there was under construction during a visit a few months ago... no mention on the Apple site until it actually opened. Needless to say, it is open. Good location in the Mall, near J Crew, Resto Hardware, and (ahem) Victoria's Secret.

Me cut the crap? Never! Too many negatismos on here.. someone's gotta lighten things up.. Come on now.. Who would object to free Cream Pies in a new Boston store, or a big dancing Apple in NYC? Hey.. India's a good location to pump the Hollywood... er should I say Dollywood angle (Dollywood is their own version of it there)..They could have a killer Indiana Jones part IV preview on the big screen. That might draw a crowd. Anyone gets out of line, Harrison Ford will just jump right up and crack his whip on them!

ok, has nothing to do with the subject but...

Bollywood!!!

B is for Bombay.

XApplimatic- you dont now shi*t about India. So SHUT UP! If you're going to make some smart comments about India, make them ACCURATE!!!

Shut the F*** UP!!!
