So things are slowly getting really critical at Apple.

We already have dark patterns, we have constant notifications to finally upgrade to iOS 26, and now we also have denied security updates?

According to Apple, the security update that is necessary because of already exploited vulnerabilities is not displayed on my iPhone. Nor is it displayed on my girlfriend's iPad. And I checked, we are not the only ones.

I have to ask: What's going on with Apple?
It's bad enough that they practically ignore their older systems, forcing users to upgrade. It's bad enough that they don't give us the option to customize the user interface (what happened to freedom of choice?)

But now Apple deliberately exposing users to security vulnerabilities because they don't want to switch to a buggy system?

I'm just asking what the reason for this is.

Apple has released iOS 18.7.3 only for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPadOS 18.7.3 only for the 10.2-in. iPad (7th generation).
I have 18.7.3 update available option on my iPad mini 5. Maybe it’s just a slow rollout?

I was able to update my iPadPro(4th gen) to iPadOSv18.7.3 without issue. Similarly Mrs. SS’s iPadAir(4th gen). However, neither of our iPhone18minis allow this. Both are on iOSv18.7.2 but the only update in Software Update is to v26.2. No scrolling down to find v18.7.3…just doesn’t exist for us for whatever reason.
