Unfortunately not. If you haven't been jailbroken on this device (or used tinyumberella) then there is no chance your shsh's for 4.0.1 are saved. You have to specifically have done this. They are unique to your device and there is no workaround. The window to get them is now closed.
You will simply have to wait until a new jailbreak is released, which will almost certainly be once 4.1 is out in the coming weeks or months. Nobody knows when the dev-team will find the exploit on 4.1, but there is a chance they already have one and are just waiting for the release. There was a quite a bit of chat, when the IP4 was released, that indicated they had found more than one exploit to work with.

No, worries. I appreciate all the info. I suppose I'll check this forum regularly in hopes of a new jailbreak option or for that elusive 4.1. At which point, I'm really going to need my hand held as I try to get through the jailbreaking process
