disabled bitesms made no difference for me

Not sure where people pulled the "BiteSMS" having anything to do with it, but I installed it on my device WITHOUT BiteSMS and had the same non-working issue... so stop blaming Bite, it's NOT BITE. :)

on your clean device, what other jailbroken apps are you using.

None, it's factory unlocked so not even using ultrasnow... the weird thing I notice is that 3.1.4 seems to actually check the internet before it says unable to login. I notice on 3.2 it just shoots the unable to login, try later, indicating it's not feeling an internet connection at all.

I'm sure you have, try uninstalling it and then re-installing it. I had a few co workers with jailbroken iPhones do the same and they are all working fine. I'll keep troubleshooting and let ya know.

yeah that was the first thing I tried. I then went to replicate the issue on 3 different devices, one totally blank with only the jailbreak :-(

Same problem for me. 4.0.1 jailbroken. Tried reboot and reinstall with no change. Fails to login.

3rd gen Jailbroken iPod Toch on 4.0 facebook app loaded right away, SBSettings installed

iPhone 4 on 4.0.1 Unable to load error, BiteSMS and SBSettings both installed

I couldn't login with biteSMS installed so I uninstalled it and restarted and facebook works like a charm. So biteSMS is definitely a problem with the new facebook update. I installled quick reply instead (that's all I used bite for) and it still works like a charm after restarting springboard.

Doesn't work even without bite sms

Hmm. Well I said bite was a problem, not the one and only problem. I definitely think there are some jailbreak apps that are messing up the new facebook. All I had installed on mine was winterboard, sbsettings, biteSMS, activator, and lockinfo(but it's not active).

its not hard for facebook to block people on jailbroken devices from using facebook.. skype has it.. well they dont block us.. but they do show a pop up saying they dont support modified devices... so I wouldn't be surprised if apple / fb done something similar?

either that or its just a bad release and server issues on fb side

Same deal with me...

iphone 4 with 4.0.1, wont connect with bitesms mobilesubstrate toggle on...

same for me..wont login :(

diabling BiteSMS in SBSettings mobile substrate works for me, but then I lose the ability to QC with the volume button.

is there a way to revert back to a previous version of Facebook?

How do you disable BiteSMS in SBSettings? I do not see a SBSettings toggle in Cydia.

I'm jailbroken on iphone 4 fw 4.0.1, updated to the new facebook 3.2 and have had ZERO issues. Didn't have to log out or anything, just worked as normal when I opened the app... Not quite sure what could be the culprit...

They still haven't fixed the bug where inbox messages reappear after deleting them.

It's so annoying deleting a single message twice!
