Upgraded to Facebook 3.1.3 just now, now I can't login\use Facebook for iPhone

Had the same problem that I couldn't get into Facebook at all. I just switched off the BiteSMSsb toggle in SBsettings and Facebook started working immediately. Its definitely something to do with that.

No idea what the consequences of switching off this toggle will be, hopefully none.

Hah! Not to thread jack, but I agree! I've submitted this multiple times.. As well as a versioning issue. If I go to the appstore, it shows the current version 3.2 is installed. If I go to settings, select facebook, it shows the version as 3.1.2. It's always been off for me, don't really know why...

It needs an 'Edit' button like the messages app. Quick deleting :)
 
I know it's been said before, but disabling BiteSMS from SBSettings makes facebook app work again. But I need BiteSMS so if any one finds a way to make it work with it on, pls post! Thanks
 
Okay, so now i have 5 notifications. But when I open the app, i can't load the notifications. Things seem slow.


Facebook on my computer says i have zero notifications haha :(


Edit: When I open Facebook.. I have BiteSMS's message bubble on the status bar. (I have no unread messages)
 
Wow, Yea same problem. 4.0.1 JB. Disabled bitesms alerts, nothings. deleting and reistalling FB now cant even login.
 
Update: disabling iPhoneDeliveryMS fixes it.

Anyone know what does iPhoneDeliveryMS do? Looks like it's some sort of SMS delivery confirmation.
 
This is annoying

I disabled biteSMS though sbsettings and now Facebook will work. But I think I value biteSMS more that Facebook, so I'll probably switch it back. Sure would like a work around for this. Guess I'll just revert back to the last version of FB for now.
 
Hmmm...glad I saw this thread before updating the Facebook app. I guess I'll wait for the kinks to be sorted out. I wonder if it's something the BiteSMS team can fix on their side? If so, I would expect them to get a fix out relatively soon.

Ok, I reinstalled version 3.14 and everything is back to normal. I guess I'm missing a couple bells and whistles but I've rather have everything work properly.

its not hard for facebook to block people on jailbroken devices from using facebook.. skype has it.. well they dont block us.. but they do show a pop up saying they dont support modified devices... so I wouldn't be surprised if apple / fb done something similar?

either that or its just a bad release and server issues on fb side

Why would FaceBook give a hoot if your phone is jailbroken ?

Now, Skype, yes as jailbreaking has expanded the uses of Skype past what was allowed, but FaceBook.
 
My facebook isn't working either. I also have bitesms installed. Oh well...
 
I reverted back to 3.1.3 as in the UK location doesnt work anyway

And I use Bitesms more than farcebook anyway :D
