Glad I gave you a laugh.
I'm not that bothered - keep your little in joke if that makes you happy - but if anyone does want to answer the question...
How's about a response like 'this guy's well known, you might want to try looking him up on google - there's lots of stuff on him there'.
But I'd be surprised if anyone I know had ever heard of him!

Chuck is best known for his ridiculously bad acting, crappy TV show "Walker: Texas Ranger," and a recent, corny campaign ad he made for Mike Huckabee.

Chuck Norris Approved!
Thanks - I get it now!
I'm glad to say we don't this guy in England - hence I had no idea.

Well you're the first English person I know who doesn't know who he is![]()
But not the first Londoner perhaps!!!
Wow, now that the 8800's are shipping. How long before someone places on in the old 2007 Mac Pro?
We're supposed to receive the GeForce 8800 GT kit for our 2008 on March 4th. We also have the April 2007 8-core Mac Pro. We'll gladly try it on that but we know it won't work.
Apple states on their website that you must have the PCIe 2.0 slots in your Mac Pro to use it. That's not really the issue but the effect is the same -- it only works in a 2008 Mac Pro.
More to the point, it is an EFI driver issue. The GeForce 8800 GT currently being sold by Apple has the 64-bit EFI driver in ROM. The only way it will boot a 2006/2007 Mac Pro is if it has the 32-bit EFI driver in the ROM.
There's not enough room for both EFI drivers in the current card so nVidia has announced they are working with Apple to produce a second card -- a different part number -- that is compatible with the older Mac Pros. That's good news. When will it ship? Nobody knows but nVidia is saying "a few weeks."
"nVidia is engineering this card, which we will distribute. They are not done yet.
Steve"
People are receiving their 8800's, is there still a possibility that we can haxor it to work? Or a pc equivalent card?
Why not just wait for the one that nVidia is working on?
Would be nice to know what the drop date is for the new card.
If I had to guess I would say that it's drop date will coincidently be the day it is made obsolete by a new nVidia card.![]()
