UPS Begins Confirming April 24 Apple Watch Pre-Order Delivery for Some Customers

That was the key for me. Phone number as reference and manually changing date to 4/23/2015 did the trick at UPS.com. 42MM and 38MM sport with white band to arrive Friday by 3PM. I'm in Indianapolis.
Rhode Island here... my order is "preparing for shipment", but no confirmation as of yet, and I ordered the 42mm SS Black sport band as well.
I ordered the 42 SG Sport, have been charged, and my status shows preparing to ship. If I use my phone number for reference on the UPS site it says it will ship on the 23rd for delivery on the 24th via one day air.
I do a lot of online shopping and receive most of my packages through UPS.

Good news to hear all the first notifications are from a hub mostly unused in my area.

42mm Space GrayWatch Sport still processing
Yea I don't understand their system. My order was placed for the 42mm black sport at 12:03 and its still processing, while others of the same show preparing for shipment since yesterday. Guess I need to be patient lol

I am in the same boat as you. I ordered mine within a couple of mins but still says 4 - 6 weeks!!! AAAARGHHHHH!

Yes, I ordered a 42mm Space Gray Sport (confirmation at 3:01 EST). I got charged and status changed to "Preparing for shipment" two days ago. Brooklyn, NY.

Meanwhile I ordered as soon as the store went online and got an 3:04am conformation, but my order is still processing and no charge to my credit card.
Meanwhile I talked to apple and they said that cards aren't being charged until they ship, which is leading me to think that the farther you are from a distribution center, the earlier you are being charged. I'm thinking watches are leaving the distribution centers and going to the final layover locations before they go out to delivery and those people are getting charged. I know from past experience my orders go from the closest main distribution center directly to my house with no layover, so I'm thinking I may not even see a charge until Thursday or even Friday.

I've been charged for both mine and my wife's watches. Both say preparing for shipment. But UPS shows nothing under "My UPS" or when searching by Reference. So what they lost both orders? Lol.
My status has yet to change. I am starting to get antsy. I ordered a 42MM stainless Apple Watch right after it went live and received a delivery date of 4/24 - 5/8. From what I have been reading, it seems like all of the Apple Watch Sport models are the ones preparing for shipment. Hopefully my status changes very soon. Another botched product launch by Apple.

Mine's at "Preparing to dispatch", so one step on from Processing. Would love to get it on Friday, but still too early to tell…

I think every watch is being overnighted. My wife's is scheduled for delivery on the 24th, but the "ship date" on the UPS tracking is the 23rd. That's from TN to IL.
I had mine ordered at :07, and it was the White Sport Watch 38mm, and just got a confirmation of delivery on 4/24/15
So, I'm confused. Are they ever going to offer the Apple Watch in stores? Or is this just for the launch time frame? I don't want to Oder now and not get mine till June or July and then they are offered in store.
Seattle here, too. Queen Anne, actually. I ordered my SS with Black Classic Buckle at 12:03 am and my status is currently "Preparing for Shipment". No update on tracking with UPS. Can't wait to get it! Working from home on Friday with hopes it arrives.
