... and our Macbook's are friends - they've already been to the moon and back and who knows where else they may go together.
mine has been in Alaska since saturday, do you guys think I should get it before the weekend if I live in montreal?
Do you know if it had departed Alaska? If so "maybe", otherwise very likely not. I don't understand why UPS's online tracking is not synchronize in real-time with their internal tracking system ...
Yea mine has been there since Tuesday. Can't figure out the delay.

Mine's gone from China, to Japan, to Alaska, to Louisville, KY, to Buffalo, to Mount Hope, Ontario.
I live in Edmonton, and it passed over this city during the flight from Alaska to KY. It's now sitting at the airport in Mount Hope, and is literally 10 minutes away from my where my parent live.

I ordered a Refurb Mac Air on the 20th and order was processed on the 21st and its set to arrive on the 24th (tomrrow!!) so excited!
Is it on the same pallet as mine? I think it might be.

Apple or UPS lost the shipment my new MB was on. Called Apple and they had to re-ship the whole shipment again. But at least I have the new MBP (my work computer) to keep me busy till my shiny MB gets here.

You should get it by Friday. The tracking below is a little off between here and Richmond.

I think it has left Ontario and heading west as we speak... for some reason they are missing the outgoing scan. I think you'll find it hitting your local sorting facility when you wake up tomorrow (at least I'm hoping)

UPS brokerage service really sucks and is slow.... I think they've delayed the package.
In August they classified another of my packages wrong .... it was duty-free and they put the wrong code (silk code - it was NOT silk) on it costing me an additional $120ish (trying not paying when you need the package and it's just a hassle disputing it) - with UPS you have no control how it's classified.

man mine has been "departure scan" from Alaska since 3pm on the 21st. for some reason there was no arrival scan. I think I overheard someone at work say that UPS was on strike and they are working much slower. anyone think mine will make it by friday??

With the time and frustration of waiting for shipping from China, it seems you could've gone to the Vancouver Apple store and walked out with it immediately. It took them 30 minutes to do the RAM swap to 4 gigs and I put in my own 7200 rpm drive... instant satisfaction and no screwing around with UPS.
