Actually, some large companies have done this. They have used various devices to test the handling of packages by various shippers along different routes. Usually the low volume shippers had the least amount of damage but not always. Regular mail usually does better than UPS. Fedex has been hit or miss with domestic U.S. being better than international.

So there could be something in it. mentioned this to a few lads. there thoughts where because the data's digital then multiple sources could receive real time feeds.; sender, recipient, insurance company (if the goods are of value), the shippers HQ plus down to the delivery driver. If all parties involved know who will be watching then in the event of a dispute for damage or loss......... Could even create an APP for that.

I don't have much of a need to ship goods, but could be sending bespoke produced dvd's to companies within the next few months. monitoring the real time exact location of the package would be a nice addition as apposed to relying on a couriers online tracking service.

Could even have it that the tracker is sent by the customer to the sender to be included with the package. So there's no need to levy an extra charger by the sender. Could soon find supermarkets selling trackers like books of stamps. what would the world have come too........
