I probably will never do this again. Gave me a lot of anxiety even though everything worked out really well. The anxiety over whether or not it would arrive and be sorted and such. I would rather wait at home knowing it’s coming. However the center in my town is disgusting and dirty. Employee was rude and didn’t even speak to me and took a personal cell phone call. I was the first in line and I waited 10 minutes.

Like everything, it depends. If you're able to stay home to receive the shipment (or have someone willing to do that for you), that may be the better choice. I didn't want to have my life wait for delivery, so I opted for pick-up at UPS. The people there were efficient and I was in and out in five minutes or less.

Never updated but I showed up to my CC an hour after they opened. Walked up gave my last name she grabbed my phone and I was gone. Nice and simple.

You stressed yourself out for absolutely nothing. Of course mistakes can happen when humans are involved but it's not like this was the first iPhone launch for UPS. I've never had an issue with hold for pickup.

Mine originally was being delivered to my address but then on the 'ups my choice' I added an access point for delivery for the UPS CC but I got an email that said it couldn't be delivered to the UPS access point so I went back in and deleted the address but this morning and all day today it said it is still going to the access point but isn't ready for pick up.

I'm assuming it's on the truck to the CC to pick up but I'm wondering if it'll be ready for pick up today or if it'll be delayed till Monday?

Has anyone had this issue?

I designated the access point and my last update was this:

It's been almost 5 hours since then. A little worried because the access point closes at 630 so it may not get there before it closes :-/ Should have listened to all of you to pick up at the CC! It's just so far ugh

Was able to pick up my phone with no problems at UPS CC this morning. About 10 ppl in line and another 10 behind, left at about 8:30. My name did not match but my address did, worker gave me no trouble with my tracking # & i.d. She also said they had about 450,000 phones come through at their location. Sylmar, CA.

I got mine over an hour early! Got it at 7:47 and my ups CC opened at 9:00am!

I know it's late, but just posting a quick update: I had zero issues picking up my iPhone X on Friday at 10am when my UPS CC opened. Love this device!
