UPS Hold For Pickup

Which did you do? I have a utility bill printed out (I pay all me bills online so no paper mail anymore) but not sure if they want to see an actual utility bill that’s been mailed?
I did not have a utility bill with me so I asked the guy to give me a minute and pulled up my chase statement. He accepted it. Might depend on the person though.
I’ve been monitoring the status of my package all morning. An hour ago, it seemed like it was heading toward being “held for pick-up” but a few minutes later, the status was updated to say:
- “The package has been redirected and forwarded to the delivery center.”
Just another perspective, the address on mine was different than my ID, they just said "oh, the addresses are different" and went and got the phones. Wouldn't hurt to have something as a just in case, but it might not be needed.
Okay cool. I have a printed utility bill, printed Apple receipt for the phone that shows my address, and printed out the tracking so hopefully between all that I’m good to go

Well this makes me feel even better lol. I have enough here I think, should the have an issue with the address not matching.
Ugh, mine is supposed to deliver today, and I changed delivery to a Drop off hub at a business that is right around the corner from where I live, as I will not be home. I did this on October 30. My tracking has said November 3 delivery since, and today it just updated and says that the item has been redirected and the new delivery date is the sixth.
This is usually a stress free scenario for me but I’m still in transit online. Phone tracker says it’s ready but when I connect to an operator he’s not sure what’s going on lol. My UPS CC is about to open -___-
Successfully delivered to my UPS Access Point (not CC) on launch day. Just picked it up! Looks like the business day delay can be avoided so long as you request the hold early!
Lots of people were at the CC picking up phones. They were very strict on ID requirements on the phones. ID must match address and at least the last name on package. I’m updating mine to iOS 11.1 now! (Nothing like a day one update)
They are so slow at my ups cc. Been here 20 minutes and a line of about 20-30 people right now...I’m half way....must be California man...too many damn people.
Yea UPS was quite the mess this morning...
More power and good luck to all those attempting to pickup their phones. Way more people this year for sure. I guess thats a given... Broke my record for no other iPhone waiters lol
There was a special area just for iPhone waiters, you can tell who was there for a phone and who was there on their daily routine dropping off packages for their businesses.
Finally got mine after a 1 hr + 30 min wait (they were taking 10-15 people at a time, then sending someone to grab the 10-15 phones per batch)
BEWARE: Make sure you have an ID matching both the shipper's name + address ... one guy was there since they opened this morning at 8 AM EST and was turned away as we saw his phone get thrown back into the mess of packages in the back room. He wasn't happy , don't let that be you.

Mine got all the way to where it would get on a truck to be delivered to my house before being redirected to a different state I called UPS last night and apparently it’ll be delivered Monday cause “they have a lot of packages” lol. Seriously?
If the name doesn't match then the address is supposed to. Back when I got the 6 Plus, the package came in my moms name because she was the AT&T account holder at the time and the guy gave me no problems. I'm pretty sure if the name matches then the address being different on the ID might be okay.
Seem strange that it was sent to another location other than the one you requested.
If you can manage to bring the person/address holder in to show his/her ID I would,
if you want friday the 3rd delivery, you can't take any chances
Got there around 9:30 AM , was out of there with my X at 11 AM, while there were plenty of yuppie looking people entering the line right behind us still!
