UPS Hold For Pickup

Pickup went extremely easy at the LA CC. I was in and out in five minutes.
 
I dont understand what the hell my ups is doing theres all kinds of updates but nothing saying i can pick up the phone. I requested a hold at ups 3 days ago and nothing else since.

My latest update says


  • The receiver arranged to pick up this package at a UPS facility. / The receiver canceled the will call and we will attempt delivery.

Does that mean i cant pick it up??

I never canceled any will call and if they will “attempt” delivery and its not on the truck, thn what. Monday??
 
Had mine held locally. Drove about a mile from my place to grab it at 8am when they opened. Surprised no one else was there to grab theirs.
 
So glad that I went with this method I changed it to be picked up at a nearby ups cc from the time I was able to see it on ups my choice and I've been watching it like crazy since, anyway today I left work early and I was able to pick up the phone within a few minutes, on my way home to set it up now
 
So just to update, after having been stuck in transit, 1.5 hours after the CC has been open, its ready to be picked up. Will probably wait awhile to let the lines (if there are any) die down.
 
My UPS CC in Chelmsford MA is a complete sh*t show. Went there at 830 and they said they haven't had power for a week because of a storm and are backed up. They "need a few hours" to sort all the packages out. I am waiting for a call so I can drive 45 minutes again to pick it up. Last year I do Hold for Pick Up.

I just picked up my phone from there a couple minutes ago!

Mine said "As requested, the UPS My Choice® delivery change was completed. / The receiver arranged to pick up the package at a UPS facility. Pickup must be made within 5 business days."

5 minute wait for me. Also no issues even though the package was in my wife's name.
 
Took about 5 minutes or less to pick mine up. Had no issues with showing my ID with the same last name/same address.

Have fun with your phones everyone :)
 
Picked mines up earlier this morning. My name matched on my ID but my address didnt. It was no problem picking it up, they didn't even mention the address.
 
Mine originally was being delivered to my address but then on the 'ups my choice' I added an access point for delivery for the UPS CC but I got an email that said it couldn't be delivered to the UPS access point so I went back in and deleted the address but this morning and all day today it said it is still going to the access point but isn't ready for pick up.

I'm assuming it's on the truck to the CC to pick up but I'm wondering if it'll be ready for pick up today or if it'll be delayed till Monday?

Has anyone had this issue?

Did the website say it was ready for pickup? If not you shouldn't have driven down there expecting your package.
 
My UPS today at 9 am about, 2 more of those behind me.

So i went to pick mine up. Only one there place was dead. Worker asks me if thats the new iphone i say yea. He says how much you want for it? I said $2000 just being stupid. He said i have my lunch in 30 ill give you 1900 if you come back.

Came back an hour later. 19 crisp 100 dollars bills. I have another one coming fedex anyway

I really love this phone now. Probably let the 2nd one go for 2 grand if i get an offer now and reorder and wait.

People are insane

For future reference, my status never changed from this, but I was still able to pickup from the Customer Center. I arrived about 1.5 hours after it opened, and there was no one in line. Apparently, there were people waiting there since 4 AM (opens at 9 AM), and there was a big rush at opening.
 
Picked up 2 phones from Menlo Park CC and 12 people waiting at 9AM. Quick and simple and left with no hassle. Thought it was gonna be a zoo...guess not.
 
Has anyone had any luck picking up their shipment at the Tempe, AZ customer center? My package has been sitting at destination scan since 3am and nothing has changed.

I'm glad that things worked out for you. I was reluctant to do the UPS Customer Center pick up since UPS seems to screw up so much. However, it was a pleasant experience. There was a short (5) line waiting for the 1 pm opening. Most were there for other reasons (dropping off and picking up other things). The wait was reasonable and there were no missteps.
