I just called UPS also, and they said the same thing the OP is saying. It will be delivered to me supposedly tomorrow. I live in LA and it shipped from Nashville for me.

I live just south of LA and on UPS website it says my phone is coming from Nashville too.

Did you go on their website and put in your phone number to track it?
What did it say? I'm really curious...

For me, the website said today it did next day air shipping, but scheduled delivery is Friday.

A lot of us are just going by what happens with every new iPhone launch. These threads inevitably crop up. Why all the angst?

The point is... it has happened every year. Considering the phone isn't supposed to be in the public's hands before Friday, .1% is a good chunk, but if you want to debate the definition of "good chunk" I am happy to concede, since that wasn't the point of my argument to begin with.

If your point was that a few people get it early, then I will certainly agree. I don't want to get into an argument over semantics, but "good chunk" would imply a substantial number.

The point I was trying to make was: the chances of any one person getting it early are slim to none. So for any hoping to get it early, forget it, ain't gonna happen, unless you happen to be one of the handful out of millions that get lucky.

It will be funny if the OP got his phone early, then got enough money from all these people to pay off his phone :)

Will the sim card even be able to be activated?

I think our iPhones are on the same truck lol. Mine departured Nashville at 3:06 also.

Hm count me in(same shipment)! I'm in San Diego! So, what about if I just go to UPS and pick it up from them? If anything, I'm saving them the hassle of coming to me lol :)

PS 16GB black ATT

I called UPS asking the status of my package, and asked when it is supposed to be delivered.

He told me it shipped next day and the package went out today (which is true according to the tracking) and should arrive tomorrow before 3PM EST.

I told him this is the iPhone 5, and asked if there were any restrictions for Friday? He said no, the restrictions are for items shipped via Standard Shipping. Mine shipped via "Holiday Shipping". I even told him on my end it says 4 days left (Friday) and he said that is weird, his system says one more day (tomorrow) and that it was in my city.

On the tracker, it is still sitting in Illinois.

He gave me his extension incase it doesn't come tomorrow. He seemed pretty positive.

Should I be pumped? Anyone else have this experience? If this is true. I AM PUMPED.
I called UPS also and they told me that i would get it today also, and they gave me the ext as well, but the package dosnt show out for delivery.Mine is still in IL also.
