Shipping to office

My phone is shipping to my office address, but I requested a hold. This obviously does not match my ID. While I am a bit concerned that they will fuss a bit, I CANT see why they wouldn't release the package. The package that has MY name, MY cell # as refernece, a tracking number that matches MY order confirmation email. All I had to give the rep to request the hold was my name and phone #.

I would NOT let them try and tell me they can't give me the package. Obviously I value them taking security percautions, but how in the world would someone get all of the information above and know where/when to go to pick up a phone that they are trying to steal. Something tells me someone who is willing to go to those lenghts to steal something is going to steal much more than an iphone!

I'm having my iPhone held at UPS and I just chatted and they said the address on my drivers license MUST match the address on the package. If it does not I must show them my SS card or birth certificate and another issued state ID such as a student ID.

I do not have a student ID. She told me I wouldn't be able to pick up and it would be sent back to Apple after X amount of time.

WTF is this?? What have you all heard? I could have sworn they would let me pick it up as long as my name matched.

Speak to someone else. There is always more than one solution to a problem.

At any rate where did you have it shipped to? As in what was the destination address?

Do you have mail from that location? At post office as long as you can produce mail from somewhere you're set. I had to do this once before with FedEx or UPS.

Had something shipped to work. was issue so they took back to station. went there showed ID and part of pay stub with with work letterhead and my address. was good to go.

Wow. Did you read your original post. You said they did if it was not a SS Card. I also specifically said School ID.

Your comprehension and reading skills got you here asking about something you already had the answer to.

I stated they required a birth cert/ss card and another state issued ID. Not two photo ids. Unless your birth cert and ss card have your recent photos?

Whatever happens, good luck at UPS and enjoy the phone...hopefully.They are sounding bullish on the employee level.

I am thinking of just canceling the hold at UPS and try and be at home. Would be a pain but I'm less than confident they'd give it to me at UPS.

You sir just made me find my SS and Birth certificate. I'm military and my address will definitely not match my drivers license lol. Sure I have my military ID but what if they want to be stupid, I will be prepared. ☺
