I ordered 2 minutes after it was available which is 3:02am here in NJ and I got space gray black.. Still processing.. I want to know why the space gray seems to be the one not shipping yet for most? And my bank app notifies me the minute I get charged so I keep looking at my phone.. I need a drink, someone call apple and ask why space gray hasn't shipped and let me know lol

UPS Tracking Numbers Start Trickling Out to Apple Watch Customers

I don't understand the standard some people are trying to hold Apple to. They are not magicians. They put the product up for sale. They sold a lot of them. They can only make so many of them. Now add global shipping for a 24hr period. Not an easy task. I can't think of any other company that would be held to this rigid of a standard, especially when a shipping window of April 24 to May 8 was given up front.

If the shipping were to say just "Delivery on 4/24", then yea, I guess I'd be upset if I didn't hear anything or have my order changed... but they are saying 4/24-5/8. That's 2 WEEKS!!! I read posts in other forums and site from people saying that they will raise holy h*** if they don't get it on Friday. Really???
My order of the 42mm Space Gray with Black Band is preparing, and my card was charged, but am I going to get totally upset and in a rage if I don't get it Friday? No.. well, I'd be bummed out... but the shipping window says 4/24-5/8, so I'd raise h*** if I didn't get it by 5/8.
And I look at it this way.... I'm in the first shipping window, that's better than a few million other people, so I'm good with that...
maybe because when u pre order something 3min after launch on a World Wide Company u expect the product to be available on the first day of availability .. no magic here just having enough product to sell for more than 3 minutes !!! does it make sense to you ???

In short, the problem is that Apple is facing probably the most unique situation in their history (and maybe on this scale ever) which there is absolutely no good answer, and in your mind there will probably never be a way that they satisfy you. If that's the case, you might as well cancel your order, because this will all be disappointing for you.

When I ordered, at like 3:10 am on the 10th, which was as soon as the site started working, since I live in Maryland, that would be ten minutes after it went on sale. Anyway, it says 4 - 6 weeks for shipping. But, when I look at my order on Apples site, it says Delivers: May 13 - May 27 by Standard Shipping. My dumb ass wishes I had gotten like, the fastest shipping I could. But, it does not matter. If it were here on the 13th, that would be great. Three months to the day after my 30th birthday. haha I've never had a girlfriend, Brain injury in 03, legally blind, can't drive. I sit and write. Do, the watch would be something new and exciting.
Hang in there and I am sure you'll get it very soon! I had givern up until 4ish MDT today when it flipped to preparing to ship. I contacted Apple and they verified. I have the SS black sport 38" never seen the dates flip like this and I previously had all iPhones since inception (edited my own post as it made no sense)

Ahha I ordered as soon as the site came up which ended up being the App Store on the phone, don't even know the exact time but from reading the forums no doubt this is the most popular model/color. They have to be running low stock on these units it would make sense. I got 5/13 - 5/27 delivery date still with no changes.

I just received an extra charging cable for the Watch which I ordered at the same time the pre-orders went live. Got it this morning from TNT. I can use it as a belt until my pre-ordered Stainless Steel arrives, hopefully soon! (estimated arrival time of 24th April-8th May)

Looked up my phone number on UPS reference tracking (make sure you change the date manually to 4/23) and it says I will get it Friday! On Apple I'm showing as Preparing for Shipment, have not been charged yet.

I think that people are getting upset because there "appears" to be no rhyme or reason to the order in which people are getting charged, status updates, and tracking numbers. It is not happening in the order the customers pre-ordered in and it is not happening by watch model. It is also not happening by location.
Now there is likely a reasonable explanation on Apple's side, but people that live near you that pre-ordered the same model before you are not getting shipment notifications yet. This can understandably make people upset. Especially those cases where people got 4-6 week delivery timeframes and got bumped to shipping now, ahead of others that ordered first.
