UPS Tracking Numbers Start Trickling Out to Apple Watch Customers

Perhaps the shipments are on their way to their New England distribution center and have not arrived yet but are expected to by today or tomorrow.

I hope ur right Kent! I'm from RI and have not gotten a charge or update but many products I have ordered from Apple before do not update until very soon before you get it. So hopefully we get lucky. Good luck and have a great day

I'm in Connecticut and know people whose orders have switched to "Preparing for shipment."

There seems to be no rhyme or reason...

Strange thing happens here that my ETA is May 17-25 but the order status has turned to "Preparing for Shipment". I am here in Hong Kong.

No movement on the tracking page other than a label being created. Rialto, CA is only 440 miles from where I live. Maybe I should take a "short" drive and bang on a few doors down there. :D

Things to note: Yes, they are coming overnight shipping. And apparently no signature is required for delivery. Oh, and you -can- track by using your phone number for the reference number. For me, that was my cell number.

Are you sure this is the watch? Most Apple Watch packages are weighing over 2 lbs and the lot is LO35, not LO15.

I'm having mine shipped to my office, but you can still use your phone number that you placed the order with to see the shipping info.
 
My wife's sport watch with white band changed from processing to preparing for shipment on Monday. Order confirmation at 2:02.

I got order confirmation for my SS with black sport band at 2:07. I've been checking pretty frequently since monday, and I checked my credit card just a few minutes ago. Finally got a charge! Checked my order and I've officially changed from processing to preparing for shipment! Nothing is showing in UPS for my watch though; however, it is showing for my wife's (delivery on the 24th).

These were two separate orders, but they'll be coming to the same location. Hopefully, they'll be on the same truck.

Also, I ordered a Milanese Loop Friday afternoon with a confirmation of 12:37pm. It ships, Apr 29 - May 12. I'll update if something happens earlier.
 
This is very interesting. I am/was one of the "Available to ship: June" as I ordered it ~4 hours after the opening time on 4/10. It is for the 38mm Sport Silver Aluminum Case with White Sport Band. So I wasn't expecting any order status update for me until AT LEAST end of May...

Come to my surprise, I find a pending charge on my credit card today for the Apple Watch (full amount, not the $1 'test' charge)! And my order status now says "Preparing for Shipment", although right next to it (in smaller letters) it still says "Available to ship: June".

Anyone else come across this?? And does that mean it will ship within the next 1-3 days, or is it possible to "sit" in this "Preparing for Shipment" state for over a month???

I honestly am not trying to piss or provoke anybody (especially with folks in the earlier range of shipment), just trying to understand what this means. Apple customer care is not giving me any details, besides the "you'll get a notification once the item ships with delivery date and tracking information".

If it says preparing for shipment and you are being charged it sounds like you are getting your watch now. Otherwise it would say processing. If you set up a UPS my choice account (free) and enter your phone number as reference in the tracking section you may even get a tracking number with a delivery date.

I have already registered for UPS MyChoice account, but I'm not seeing any info on the delivery there.... so either I'm missing something (maybe didn't set it up with my phone # correctly), or it'll ship via FedEx instead? Just to be sure its not something missing on my end, can you tell me where specifically within the UPS MyChoice that I can add my phone number as reference? I'm seeing 2 tabs in there once I log in. The "My Delivery Planner", and the "My Settings". I'm assuming it's somewhere under "My Settings", but can't seem to figure out where...

If you are using the app which it sounds like you are. On the top left there is a three line by the UPS logo. Click on that a menu will appear, click on track packages.

100% sure. Most of the other watches are either stainless steel or 42 mm. Mine is aluminum and 38 mm.

My watch is now in Southern California, the Rialto center. So of course it's going to have a different lot number than the one in Tennessee
 
Not cool

So I just checked my UPS tracking and my package was voided. Guess they will issue me a new tracking number? That one had a delivery date of yesterday and later in the evening had it's delivery date removed. I hope by Friday I get a new tracking number.
 
I received a text alert that my delivery date was rescheduled from 4/24 to 4/23. Has anyone else had this happen?
 
How are you getting your tracking numbers? I tried looking it up by reference on UPS and Fedex and nothing. my currently says preparing for shipment

Same here (and I live in TX as well). :) . I tried using my phone number as well as the reference to track it like "thalazy" mentioned earlier (also created UPS MyChoice) and nothing. Maybe it just means we have to be patient for a day or two.

Is your Order Status also showing "Available to ship: June" in smaller letters, right beside where it says "Preparing for Shipment"? Just curious.

Mine says April 24-May 8th that is why i was curious and it says preparing to ship. What part of texas are you from?
 
Welp no change in status. Still says Processing and still in that 4/24-5/8 window so is what it is. Still hopeful it will show on Friday but have a feeling it won't until next week and will arrive with separately ordered (1 minute apart) additional band. To the ones that do receive on Friday...congrats and enjoy!
