I think only having a like button is a good decision. Having a dislike button often tends to put the focus on the trolls, instead of the subject at hand, in my opinion.
The other aspect of not having a dislike button is it keeps some people from being just as petty and trollish as those they seek to emulate, by using the dislike button for petty, juvenile reasons.
Why not focus on and reward positive, helpful members, instead of seeking to give a spotlight to those who seek to inflame?
I think MR has the focus where it needs to be, on the productive members.
