The phones are going to sit in KY for a day?

Every year they sit there. Sometimes even a couple of days. It's where one of UPS's main hubs is located.

Here's a video that was posted a few weeks ago that shows the UPS hub, break down of pallets with phones, etc..

Plot twist: November 3 delivery date, but just shipped from ZZ, China to Hong Kong...odd. Anyone else?

The Apple site says 'Prepared for shipping', Yet I tracked it and it just left Alaska.

So if I want to pick it up at the depot I had better hurry. I'm not sure the cutoff time. Point is, Apple probably should have sent me a shipping notification.

Nah mine left Alaska same time as you I'm sure, with no shipping change from Apple yet either. I went ahead and held it at the CC already as well

I have a November 3rd Pickup, but Apple still says order in progress. Is this normal?

I'm in the same situation.

*Edit - my phone is shipping to my billing address, my residence. But the status for a November 3rd delivery still shows 'preparing for shipment'.

Yes. Your phone is a store pickup. It's not going to update to show a shipping or preparing for shipping status. It's probably going to say 'order in progress' until Friday.

Hey guys, how goes it? Mine still says Preparing for Shipment, delivers by Nov 3rd. It's coming to my house (Canada, so no providers). I don't have a tracking number of course and couldn't track with order number. Any advice, suggestions?

Mine left ANC last night at 4:30 local and never landed anywhere. Guess it's still holding over Louisville. 🙄
It made it to Louisville—we would have heard about it on the news if the plane didn’t make it 😕

Also, notice that it never ‘landed’ in Anchorage. It seems to just be tracking departure scans since it left China.

So I guess I'll see a departure scan tonight or tomorrow night for Texas

I liked my holding explanation better though 😛

Apple's system must not be updating the status. Mine still shows prepared for shipment but when I searched UPS, I found my phones and they are in AK already with delivery date of 11/3. Even when I called Apple about a separate issue, they confirmed it will arrive to us on Friday.

Shipment emails from Apple should go out overnight or tomorrow morning. We'll see our phones moving out of KY starting in the afternoon/evening depending on your destination.

I know....I know....dork

But it is just once a year...kind of like Xmas morning for me.

(I waved “Hi, see you soon” as I flew by)

And now my order just flipped to “Shipped” and shipping email with tracking info landed in my inbox!

A little late to the game...but a welcome late comer.

The phones that went to Hong Kong are now in Louisville and the ones that departed AK on the 31st still no update.
