Did you look to see if ECG showed in the Watch App store?
yep nothing changed at all for me in this update in fact i even experienced a reboot once or twice with 7.0.1 which i didn't get with 7.0.0. and have heard nothing from apple support after i originally talked with them and giving them my logs

Try this maybe it helps

Nope, because it says there: open the ECG app. And that we do not have, that is the problem. We have tiles to set up Washing hands, Sleep, Saturation. but not for ECG...

I can even see and browse previous made Ecg’s, but the app isn’t there on my series 6, it ‘thinks’ it is there, but it simply is missing...!

If you read back you will see that this does not help: on the phone it says ‘Only WatchOS’ and if you send yourself the link to be opened on the watch it says ‘iPhone needed’. A regular search from the watch in the store gives a ‘nothing found.
All this is mentioned before here... sigh...

Not mentioned after installing 7.0.1, but thanks for the advice!!

I have a similar issue but slightly different. After setting up my AW6 with the backup from AW4 the ECG app was there but when I pressed on it it said to open the health app on the phone. I did that and nothing happened. I unpaired and re-paired but no dice. I’m updated on the phone and watch to the latest OS’s.

thats what originally happened to me i then decided to try and reinstall the ecg app but after removing it i found i couldnt get it back

I have an idea as to why the ECG app is gone and why it can’t be reinstalled. I believe it has to do with Bluetooth. In order to get the ECG app you need to be connected to your iPhone and while it may appear that you are connected to you iPhone some part of the watch doesnt recognize the iphone. I can ping my phone and essentially use Bluetooth for every task that requires Bluetooth except install the ECG app.
if you go to settings on the AW then to Bluetooth and note if your watch shows connected to your iPhone. Mine does not but and if I tap on it it says not compatible. Now my iPhone does not show up in the list of Bluetooth devices on the AW. On the iPhone I can see that it’s connected to the AW. I think that may be why in the AW App Store we are seeing iPhone required when trying to grab the ECG app - using the previously mentioned workaround. If you you go to the AW App Store and search for ECG you only get 3rd party apps.
Like everyone else here I’ve unpaired/paired a dozen or more times trying anything I can think of. Reset network setting with no luck. If anyone can confirm they are seeing the same thing wrt Bluetooth that would be great.
Thoughts, ideas, or solutions are much appreciated. Brian

I see on the phone I’m connected to the watch via Bluetooth but on the watch it doesn’t even show the phone in the Bluetooth list. I see my AirPods but that’s it. I updated to 7.0.1 and 14.0.1 last night but still no dice.

Yep same here. I gave my 4 to my wife and after some fiddling I got the app on the watch and it’s working fine. As an aside I checked Bluetooth on her watch and it does show her phone attached. I’m starting to think you are right Brian about the Bluetooth issue.

Has anyone tried to pair there series 6 with a different phone to see if that fixes it?

Same for me and I have had ECG and Blood Oxygen working from the start on my series 6.
Yeah - mine worked fine on AW4 and the girlfriend’s still works on AW4. Got me 🤷🏻‍♂️

figured something out i paired my watch to a different phone and i was able to set up ecg and the ecg app reinstalled on my watch, but when i repaired my watch back to my 11 pro the ecg app was gone again. so if theres a way to reset your health data and get your phone to set up ecg again it will resolve this issue. so it seems the fix right now is to restore your iphone as new unfortunately

I thought you reset your phone as new already. Another person online ran into your problem and setting up as new worked for him.

Just in case someone is not following the other thread.

Got a fix from Apple tonight - I would call it a work around until Apple gets it into an update. Bottom line the issue is with the iPhone and in the settings.
Step 1: Unpair the watch
Step 2: Settings - General - Reset - "Reset All Settings" Going to have to re-setup somethings on the phone but its better than a full restore.
Step 3: Pair the watch - either as new or restore from backup. I restored from a backup.
Step 4: Open the Watch App on the iPhone.
Step 4a: Go to "Heart" in the list of Watch Apps
Step 4b: Select "Set up ECG App on Watch"

This worked for me. Good luck!!

You have to go and enable it separately. It is because you have to give you age. After that you are allowed to install the ecg app
