I studied political science at what most people would find to be a world class institution. Certainly one where rank ignorance and lack of processing power would get you an “F”.
From this, I assert that
1) yes, “the west” is an outdated colonial era concept.Mythology. Old school racist mentality.
2) modern business has to respect all nations and cannot operate as political tools, especially in a climate where politics is now dominated by zealots
3) terms like “allies” are used to manipulate the mentally weak. Trump is hardly even an ally of his own electorate. So to asset that 300 million people are “allies” of x million people who happens to live a country and “adversaries” of others, is an utter joke. The 0.1% operate for themselves and across borders. They don’t give a damn about you no matter how much you wave the flag they put in your hand
My observation is Apple’s leadership is operating at a similar level. This is why they have been successful in leveraging the opportunities possible to create a global supply chain and a global market presence. They were a small company that was savvy and punched above their weight in order to become a global giant. Their telligence on this key driver of success is a big reason why.
