All who ordered quickly and got the 9/25 date: don't stress yet. this has happened before and those orders all updated to launch day. Obviously not all can, but if you ordered early you should be fine. Apple is known to have glitches like this.

I agree. I've wondered if the people who just wandered in, if they bothered to even watch the event and are just riding on all the usual Pro Max hype?One of the only other people I see who got a base! I feel like people are sleeping on this - all the videos etc saying its the best base that's ever been made / best deal / edges out Air in lots of ways. I changed my mind about 10 minutes before ordering from the Air to a white base 8:15 am pickup lol
Edit: I'm basing my statement on the poll results, which shot way up for the PM in the last few hours.
This happens almost every year, has happened to me personally multiple previous years and my delivery date always got moved up to launch day.
Apple: I’m mad at you. Whyyy are you punishing the pre-pre orders. We all got all our info in early, got up at 5am, waited in the queue…only to give us 9/25 delivery?!
I know dates have retroactively switched back in the past. Fingers crossed for this. But sometimes glitches are actual errors and we might get screwed.

I got the Max because I got sick and tired of the constant need to recharge my 14 Pro over the course of a normal 8 hour day....
I wonder how many of people are in the same boat as I am this year?
Guys I'm doing pick up in store WITH trade in, could I not trade the old phone in right away? could I go home switch everything then bring it back a different day for trade in?
So, we thinking there are already phones stateside for those of us who choose to pick up?
Ordered 2 PM but got 2 different pick up times in same day. Anyone knows if I can pick up both at the same time or can I change the pick up time later?
Just curious from years past, how do the shifting delivery dates work? People had later dates and then they just randomly changed to earlier/launch day? Was it a one-off thing or did it happen to a ton of people?
It happened to mass amounts of people before. Your date literally just changes to show launch date. or an earlier date. This exact same scenario has happened before and everyone freaked out but had their phones on launch day.
Across the line, Pro Max were the sellers and sold out practically instantly for launch day. All the haters were first in line!
I wasn’t given the option for in store pickup, so I chose shipping with a 9-25 delivery date. I hate waiting for UPS, so I went back to the app and started the ordering process again and this time I got in store pickup with a 9-19 pickup date. I cancelled the first order. Pro Max 512 GB deep blue.
It's been an hour and 15 minutes and I still haven't received my order confirmation email. I'm on iUP, "got ready" ahead of time, and the app shows order placed. Is this out of the ordinary?
Interesting experience this round. Was annoyed I couldn't do the pre pre with Veterans (swear I did this 2 years ago) but the portal opened right at 8:00. No problem placing two orders but weird thing also with the timing

I was SUREEEE I was getting a navy Pro, coming from a 15Pro.
Then, realized I use almost no pro features on my 15 Pro/didn't want bigger/heavier though liked the 15P size/screen.
Then, realized I like the idea of the thin Air so decided on that.
Then, realized I'm at like $1300 with all the things and it's a decent enough jump width/height from the PM which doesn't make sense for my small hands + would be losing a bunch of things / concerned about the batt life....
10 mins before ordering I decided on a white base 17 and think this will be perfect! A tiny bit bigger than the 15PM, but pretty much around this form that I love and surprising amount of "stuff" / everything I need / only a little over $700!
Ordering:
First order for the white base 17 - got the first pickup time 8:15am on the 19th
Second order for 2 gold airs, said unavailable for pickup a few times so had to do for delivery on the 19th
Soon after, it was showing available for pickup for those but the time slots were much later and that wasn't going to work, so just kept the delivery for those 2 as it was the same day.
As of now (9:17 EST) all of these are still showing for pickup on launch day, as well as the Pro I checked. Does seem slower however we are down to 7pm and later time slots and those are going quickly.

iPhone upgrade program. I switched to in-store pickup on 9/19 because delivery date was 9/25 though I was ordering in the first minute.
For those with the IUP and did in store pickup in the past, were you able to just take the new phone and return the old phone via mail (UPS/FedEx). I've done delivery every previous year and prefer to do the transfer myself at home.

Keep track of the Apple emails - you will receive notice that the delivery date has changed.
Has happened many times in the past for me - getting bumped up earlier messages.
I am more geeky and track the UPS pallets from China/India to the US using the UPS app and FlightAware tracking.
This is the FUN part of delivery orders.
I've done this before and it was a nightmare because the Upgrade Program phone was attached to the specific device you are trading in and they can't switch it. So I just played with the new additional phone for a couple of days until the 1UP phone came in.
