Is the Deep Blue not so popular?

Was anyone else charged on their Apple card the day it was available to set up a preorder?
Tuesday after the reveal, I set up for iPhone 17 Pro 256GB and traded in my 16 Pro, and I see they charged me $38.93, which is tax. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be charged twice since I didn't have a charge today.

Yes, on Wednesday when I set up my preorder I got a charge on my Apple Card for tax, which remains pending. I suppose it will remain that way until shipped, perhaps? (My delivery date is the 19th.) I used the Apple Card Installments because I wanted the up front credit for my trade in rather than waiting until sending in the old phone. The installment balance got set up at the time of my preorder prep on Wednesday, as well.

Delivery date finally updated for my iPhone Air 512 GB Light Gold. Original date was 9/25. Now it’s “preparing to ship” 😊

Has anyone who selected carrier financing rather than IUP have the delivery date change from 9/25 to 9/19?

Blue 17 Pro Max here with a 9/25 initial date that was recently updated to 9/19

One big snafu: I realized after placing the order that I used the wrong card information. Wondering if Apple will give me the chance to update the payment info when the charge is declined, or if they will automatically cancel my order. Has anyone ever been in that boat before?

I’ve had this happened and they let me update it. They email out giving you a certain time frame to update.

I had a similar experience when I preordered my 2016 MacBook Pro. I used my debit card to buy it but it was declined. Apple sent me an email about it and allowed me to change my payment to my credit card. I hope the same will happen to you.
