App did not let me in until 8:04 AM this morning and it was very easy to check out since I did my pre-qualification, but even that early and my shipping date unfortunately did not get launch day for the first time since I've owned an iPhone. 😭

Expected delivery date is September 25.

I got a ProMax Deep Blue in 1TB.
Very happy to report that I received an updated email tonight and my phone is now scheduled to arrive on release day!

I guess there was some glitch with early orders perhaps only from IUP orders based on what some folks are saying that were somehow pushed to 9/25 ship dates.

Yeah I know it's not a big deal if I didn't get it on release day, but it always is fun to expect it and have that anticipation of release day. :)

ordered through the apple app at 0800 hrs and was met with the "stay on this page until we can bring you in for the pre-order"

got my iPhone 17 Pro Deep Blue 256GB with a delivery date of Friday. been awhile since I did the "pre-order as soon as it was available" thing. last time I did this was for the iPhone 5S lol.

My Orange 512 Pro Max is due on the 19th. But I checked on apple's website to see how the same phone is doing shipping wise, it is now quoting 3-4 weeks.

However, the Air’s are still on schedule for the 19th…

Mine is PM Orange 512 and it was moved up to 9/19 this afternoon. But I was the one who said email Tim Cook. A member of his exec team called and said he got it moved up.
thank you for the email heads up. I cancelled my order and re did it for the deep blue pro, but I wanted the max. he told me to cancel my order and redo it for the pro max and to disregard the delivery date. he told me to send him my new order number and he would make sure I received the pro max on Friday.

Not just iUP. I’m not iUP and it happened to me. Seemed to be based more on time, maybe? Sounded like very early people who ordered as soon as it opened up seemed to get assigned 9/25, while some later orders got 9/19. Which didn’t appear to make much sense when orders were for the same models.

At any rate, glad your order got updated, too. I agree that there is an excitement that goes along with waiting for the launch day arrivals. :)

The regular Pro shows as on schedule for 9/19 here if you order now, as well. And some of the base 17 colors. The Pro Maxes, as well as the green and black base 17s, are out a few weeks.

My AT&T iPhone Air order shows ships by Oct 2nd but even if I order it now, it would ship delivery day... Anyone else going through this? I ordered through AT&T directly.

I got right in, but was put in the queue. Waited 2+ minutes then finally got in to check out. I have the September 25 delivery date. It is what it is. They were just swamped with Pro orders. I doubt that I will be moved up to September 19.

Blue 17 Pro Max here with a 9/25 initial date that was recently updated to 9/19

One big snafu: I realized after placing the order that I used the wrong card information. Wondering if Apple will give me the chance to update the payment info when the charge is declined, or if they will automatically cancel my order. Has anyone ever been in that boat before?

This happened to me last year, I was rushing checkout and forgot to update my card info after a fraud situation where I got issued a new card, the order declined and Apple sent me an email saying I had a specific amount to update my payment method. As far as it affecting my shipping/delivery date it did not, once I got the payment corrected my order continued on and I still got the phone on release day.

Orange 17 Pro Max here. I just put the order in; it’s technically Saturday just after midnight (though still Friday in CA.)

Regardless, my delivery date is 10/6-10/13, and pickup is not available, probably because of the carrier financing.

Ordered Pro Max 256GB CO, and originally got a shipping date of 9/29-10/6 for being 15 mins late past 5 am PST, then later on the day, tried again and kept refreshing the Apple website until I was able to snatch in store pickup 9/19!

So don’t loose hope for those who want it launch day! Keep refreshing the order page!

PSA: According to ShrimpApplePro it appears Apple's new 40W with 60W peak charging brick is the only charger capable of charging the new 17 Pro + Max at full advertised speed of 50% charge in 20 minutes. Apparently this is because the new phones use the latest PD3.2 SPR AVS charging protocol which no chargers currently support... except for Apple's new charger. Until new chargers come along with this standard you'll be looking at 30 mins for a 50% charge instead of 20 mins.

I guess we won't know until we get the devices in hand and people run real world tests (or Apple provides confirmation beforehand).

@gaedfly I know you were looking into chargers, sorry I only just learned this. I suppose this only matters if you're looking for the maximum possible charge speed. Personally I don't really mind, I'm satisfied with the current charge speeds on my 16PM.
