Just put my order in for one of the limited edition cases. I had been watching for a few days and hoping that they would come back in stock. I'll be sure to post a few pictures when it gets here. I'm excited! :p

Thanks for the headsup. Stupid Safari didn't refresh the site when I went on 10 minutes ago. Had the clear the cookies etc to see that it's back in stock!

Think I may get the black and red. I know I just got my personalised iVolution SP but the black and red is just special!

PS - the one without clip has just sold out. I must have been the last one to order it!

Just my luck! I forgot that nobody was going to be at home today during the time of delivery. So I missed my case that I've already been waiting 50 days for. Now I have to leave a pre-signed slip on the front door so that it is at least left there when I come home from school tomorrow... patience is key...

Unbelievable. I must have refreshed that site 10,000 times waiting for these cases to come back, but I couldn't get to it this afternoon. Now, sold out again.

How are you guys holding the case when using the iPhone? Do you just fold that flap back behind the iPhone or just it hang? The only reason I haven't committed to buying this yet is because I can't see how I can pull this out of my pocket and answer a call or something without using both hands.

You can pretty easily use only your other hand by holding the sides and flipping the flap down by using your index finger. Only practical option then is to leave it hanging, you'd need both hands to fold it back. I personally leave the flap hanging when I'm answering a call and fold it back when I'm making the call because then you have all the time you need.

I just received my case, and I have to say it, exceeds my expectations a hundredfold. Color is very nice and the case is smaller than I imagined (big plus for me).

I had a feeling that you'd be happy when you saw it in the flesh.

Did you stick with the black with a blue stripe, like mine?

Nice though this is, what is so special about the ivolution Top Silver that warrants a price of $200? Are the borders of the closing section made out of solid silver? Even if they are, the price of silver is at an all-time low isn't it?

Yes, I did, and it looks fabulous! Never going to put too much thought into pictures again. It looks much better than I could ever guess.

I sometimes think that the folks who maintain the Vaja website are having a laugh. They just post a photo of a product and the price and expect customers to buy them. There is absolutely no description of how the Top Silver differs from the other models.

I have had the iVolution SP for a week and have to say remains very impressed. Now just waiting for the Black and Red!

Nice review. Can we get pictures :D? If it didn't take them so long to make their cases, I would've gotten the Vaja iVolution SP for my iPhone 3G. Instead, I just went with a Sena Ultraslim case. I'm not a huge fan of it, I really prefer flip cases, but no companies had any when I ordered.

The sweet leather scent that emanated from the white Vaja box was truly intoxicating. Then again, the sweat that was running down my forehead due to the contained excitement might have added to the smell. I mean, I had waited 51 days for something I spent $120 on, and only bought based on strangers' opinions online, and I finally had the opportunity to see it for myself. I had three very high expectations for the case, so it had better be a good-looking case, a protective case, and a quality case.

I looked inside the box, and saw what had been my most anticipated arrival, second only to my iPhone 3G: a black caterina leather case with a dark blue stripe running down its center (good-looking case: check); The Vaja iVolution Top SP Holster for iPhone 3G. Immediately, I picked it up, took my iPhone out of the Griffin FlexGrip case it had been shamefully living in for over three weeks, and slipped it inside the SP. Or, at least, I tried to slip it in, but in reality I had to push down on the top of the phone hard for it to settle into place. For me, that was a good sign, because if it took my manly strength to get it in the case, then the case would not allow it to get out very easily, either (protective case: check).

I closed the front flap (protective case: double check) with a satisfying but muffled snap, and held the case at arm's length to admire the effect of the case in my hands, and noticed it was actually very slim despite the sturdy feel it gave off (good-looking case: double check). When I was done admiring it, I tested it out to see how easily I could get it out of my pocket, because it had been a pain to get the FlexGrip out, due to the grippy silicone. I slipped the soft leather in, and I slipped the soft leather out just as easily (quality case: check). That proved to me that the leather was quality, as the softness is really unrivaled by any other "leather" case I have had in the past for any of my cellphones. One thing to note, though, is even though it feels very soft, the leather itself is really solid and sure to protect your phone without any doubt (quality case: double check).

If I could say more about the case I would, but it met and surpassed my three expectations, and I really could not be happier with my purchase. Vaja earned themselves a regular customer for each year a new iPhone model comes out.
Good review, very arty! :D

I think Maddan's case is exactly the same as mine in design. I posted some photos on the previous page.

To be honest, I don't really see any problems or differences in fit when using the older iVolution SP with the 3G iPhone. At least I can't tell from the photos.

The only thing I'm going to moan about after 8 days of using the case is that dust tend to be trapped along the sides. It's by no means a major flaw but I need to clean it every couple of days.
