Ha, I got mine from Vaja germany and their shipping and support is just nice.

I asked them about those bubbles I wrote about and they said it should not happen. Now I have a new full leather Libretto Mamut :)

Will see if it does the bubble thing to.

About the wear/discoloring, that was definetily inside normal parameters with my black one. Maybe people expect better leather wont show any wear?!

The exposed corner of the iPad is a disaster waiting to happen ...
The exposed corner is what made me immediately dismiss this case regardless of price (even at $30 i wouldn't buy it). That is just a basic requirement for me is a case is to protect all corners. Others might not care but I certainly do. I do hope they have a new model in the next year that has more coverage because otherwise the case looks like a winner for me.

I really care and I love how it is not fiddling around to find the switches like with Yoobao and Sena. I just sold my iPad 2 and the exposed corner looked like new like all the other corners.

I am sure many are perfect when they sell it. I have kids though. My iPad 2 got damaged even with a more protective case. They can only protect so much. There is a line that each of us makes as to how much we want to protect the ipad without hindering it's function, weight, looks, etc. I would never use a defender case for example. Too bulky for my tastes. My goal is not to put down this case. It looks nice. Not every case is for everyone. I just hope that Vaja finds this thread and knows there is a market for a case with more protection (wishful thinking I know :). Enjoy your cases :).

I do!

I would suggest a PielFrama Cinema or Saddleback for your needs if you want nice leather but more protection than elegance.

btw. some had problems with the latch on the back? I noticed it is now recessed, so the back is plain.

It has arrived!

I ordered mine from vajacases.com directly a few days before Apple's pre-orders went live... I did not receive notification or tracking from Vaja regarding shipping, though I did receive a call this morning from DHL express telling me that I'm due to receive a required signature package.

I was doubting myself about the color combo; I was worried it might look a little too girly. Now that I've seen it in person, I am very happy with my choice. It looks great!

The quality, smell, feel are just... superb.

Just turned the magnet on my iPad 2 case so it works on iPad 3 now, didn't even need any tools.

It looks great! Can't ever go wrong with a vintage brown. (This is the case color I am seeing from the photos, right?) :D

How are you finding the fit? I purchased a used Libretto for the iPad 2 off ebay and was fortunate to find the magnets worked without needing to turn them.

Problem is while the new iPad fits in well it isn't very secure and can easily slip out from the right side lip when I am maneuvering into the viewing angles.
Are you experiencing something similar?

I was with my first one and got it replaced without problems (by german distributor, which seems much more responsive). If you have it from ebay, complain with the ebay seller or try to contact Vaja if you have the original invoice.

I've just received my Vaja Libretto case for my new iPad. I had one on my iPad 2 and absolutely loved it. The old case fitted fine on the new iPad but it did not trigger the magnets properly so I sold it to my friend with the iPad.

Vaja advertised the new case for immediate shipment in black/black which is the same as my old one. I ordered it and it was here in Aus in less than a week. The leather quality just has to be the best in the world and the fitment is perfect. Magnets work 100% too. I'm happy, thanks Vaja. :D

Where did they mention that black/black combo? I'm keen on getting one as well but on their website I just see Black/Red and Black/Blue?

I have a black/black Libretto for iPad 2 I'm willing to take offers on, and a black switcheasy canvas both in great condition.

Good deals on EBay

Definitely worth a shot purchasing one of the iPad 2 cases on Ebay. You can generally get one for less then $100. They fit the new gen iPad and some will have functioning sleep/wake. The one I purchased did but I know some people have been able to flip the magnets or you can purchase magnet separately and secure to the case under a soft material. There's a few on there right now: a black/red, black/black and brow/birch.
