Strange, I wonder if this might be a problem with different iPads. Now I have my second Vaja I still cant find any position where the back folded cover switches off the iPad...and I tried hard.The trouble is that the exposed corner is sensitive to the magnet that controls the smart on/off. If you often fold the cover back and hold on to it upright, like for reading in bed, youmwill have a major issue with this. I can justify spending 200+ on a case, but not one that has such a major defect.
Back to the drawing board. Leaning towards the Beyza right now, but we'll see.
But I never found a reason for folding it back anyway. For using it in bed the upright position is perfect only sometimes when I am to lazy I just let the top cover lay on my lap. Holding it upright I find it much nicer having my hands on the leather instead of the lining anyway.
