Curious... when would you ever need to open up your steam account on 2 separate machines at the same time for a game?

w00master
Simple, when I looked at the developer's website, saw no restriction and bought the game thinking to have some laughs between me and my wife playing together.

I didn't know at the time that Steam would lock us out, even though the developer doesn't.

First and last buy with them. I'm not really one to keep digging into cave eats of EULA and other crap just to find that since I'm buying from A and not from B I will have X additional restriction.

No thanks...
I have Steam on my Windows partition and hate it. It's buggy and spams my desktop. Even though I turned off the spam, lately it demands that I agree or disagree to a lengthy dialog box of fine-print. Even though I disagree, it keeps asking me. Effing b**ds won't take no for an answer.

What! TF2 runs and is playable on my now retired 2004 dell inspiron XPS with a Pentium 4 3.4 GHZ and ati mobility radeon 9700! Valves games have always been rather forgiving hardware wise. My '07 C2D still plays everything I throw at it, granted it has a recently upgraded graphics card.

I would wager that if that '08 MBP was running tf2 in windows that it would do just fine.

God bless you all for trying to game in OSX :D

+1 This.

Its certainly not a hardware limitation which makes the game lock up the computer / run like slideshow when it did run / refuse to uninstall. Can look at the OS, or Steams implementation on it, but not the hardware. Of course thats the first thing some people blame.

Are you running Gods & Kings or Vanilla? The expansion is SLOW.

vanilla. i read that the expansion was slow, and it made me laugh out loud.

I only play in "strategic overview" mode now, because it's a complete dog on "regular 3D" view. I have this game on a 550mb/sec SSD drive, for crying out loud. With an i7 and 8 GB of RAM. It's pretty sad. I won't be buying the expansion because I can't imaging being able to suffer through anything even more slow.

I just wish the gameplay wasn't so fun and addicting.

I have Quick Combat and Movement turned on. If it involves bombardment or aircraft I am in Strategic View as well. The wait for time between turns is much longer in Gods & Kings. It was manageable in vanilla and they decreased it in some later patches. I never really touched the last vanilla patch but I recall a mention that it had slowed it down again.

I still can not wait for the next DLC or patch for G&K though.
