Welcome to the thread for the Verizon 2018 iPhone pre-order thread.

If the rumors and leaks are true; which iPhone will you be getting? And are you using the Verizon app, VerizonWireless.com, Preordering at a Verizon store or just camping out on launch day.

Let us know.

This thread will be updated on new information when the New iPhones are launched.

If everything is true I’m going for the highest GB iPhone(even though I don’t need it), the largest phone size and the gold color.
 
256 Plus, Silver here. Have the X 256 Silver now.

Will probably order from Verizon and start a new line of service if I can't get pre-approval for Apple Upgrade Program prior to pre-order night. New to Verizon this year as I switch from AT&T after being with hem for 8 years. Never had an issue ordering with them or Apple years past. Kind of nervous this year.

Please calm me down. Lol :)
 
If the camera has a significant upgrade, I am all in for black/gold Xs

If no upgrade, I am seriously moving over to samsung

Me too. AT&T coverage where I moved to is poor. Battery life on 7+ has been horrible.
 
Just switched over to Verizon today after being with ATT since 2010 with the iPhone 4. Verizon coverage on my iPad is always amazing compared to the ATT coverage in my area so it was finally time for a change and what better time than with a new Verizon iPhone.

Debating between using the Verizon website and the Apple site. How good is Verizon's? I usually used Apple's but ATT's wasn't terrible the once or twice I used it.

256 by is “obsolete” storage size. 512 GB will be the newest storage size in this smartphone era and more appropriate for iPhone “max”. 256 is “not” a proper “max” size. The only new things are some “not significant” internal improvements, “little” larger (0.7 inch) and color, which if the phone will be put in the case, the gold color will not be shown.
 
For anyone that has Verizon payment plans for their current iPhone X.

I need to make a payment of $143 to be eligible for early upgrade. I just got off the phone with verizon and they are telling me that i should not make the $143 payment now, and i have to wait until the phone is release (pre order day). The verizon rep claims that if i make the payment of $143, i will have to pick any phone to upgrade now and i have 20 days to return my current iphone x.

Anybody else is having similar issue?

Yes you need to make the 143.00 payment at Pre-Order Time. You need to wait till then, when you pre-order it will give you a option to pay up the remaining balance to do the upgrade program.

Don't know what model me and the wife want so I'll wait till the 21st when they arrive at the Apple store. Then I'll jump across the street to the VZ corporate store to order. Our 7+ phones will be just fine till the new ones arrive (assuming VZ won't have stock).

I’m getting the Xs Plus 256GB (should be enough). I’m thinking in the space grey, but contemplating silver also.

Question: I may be keeping my 8+ for a work phone and the Xs Plus will stay on my current number.

If I add a line and purchase the new phone at the time of pre-order, I’m told all should be good. I can change the number later if I don’t like the one given. I will swap the SIMs before activating the phone. Is there anything else I would need to consider from the pre-order and new line add with Verizon?
 
I have bill credits for a phone trade in on my current iPhone 8 on this line

If I pay for the new phone in full, do the bill credits continue or does the phone have to remain active on the line / account?
 
If I have a prepaid Verizon plan, what is the best way to get the phone the earliest? I believe it won't let me pre-order one :(
 
Currently have the iPhone 8+, will likely upgrade to Xs, but not the Max. The keynote will help me make my mind up. I'm excited nonetheless!!

You need to contact CS to find out. Do you have a My Verizon Login if you do I think you can buy online like the rest of us but you cant use device payments and need to pay in full for the phone.

I owe $125. My bill is due Thursday. So you’re saying have my bill late and pay to early upgrade at the time of preorder? Could I just pay my bill as normal instead of going to the early upgrade option and have it still apply?

Well pay your bill on time and then if you still owe any extra money to get to the 12 payments or 50% then you can pay that at the time of pre-order. I would first pay off your bill as soon as you can, then go look in your my Verizon it will show you how much more you owe to upgrade or if you are upgrade eligible. If it says upgrade eligible your good to go no extra money to owe, but if it says you owe X to early upgrade then you need to pay that amount at pre-order time.

Yes. Same for me. Just pay it at upgrade to new phone. No biggie. It works.

Got it. Says I owe $125 for early upgrade and my bill is $135 so I’ll be good. Thanks for the clarification

Yes, so you would pay the bill first the 135 before pre-orders open, preferably the day before and then when pre-orders open you would pay the 125 for the early upgrade since there is no option to pay that portion in advance until your actually order.
