Yes, so you would pay the bill first the 135 before pre-orders open, preferably the day before and then when pre-orders open you would pay the 125 for the early upgrade since there is no option to pay that portion in advance until your actually order.

Ah! Makes sense.

I called VZW bec I want to get rid of that extra something that could go wrong when preordering the iPhone this week. They want me to wait until the preorder, or wait until my bill clears up on the 22nd to order bec I'll be eligible at that time for an early upgrade.

It seems different now this year and the customer service rep was mocking me too on why I can't wait a week to order a phone. Yeah wait a week so you won't get your phone in 6-8 weeks instead of getting it in a week.

Maybe we can do something with the Verizon reps on their social media so we can push them to at least allow us to pay our balances so we don't have that extra something that can possibly go wrong with their systems on preorder day?

They cant do anything about it. Its how the system works, you have to wait till Pre-Order time to pay off the remaining balance to early upgrade or upgrade.

Read your agreement. It's all in there.

If the rumors and leaks are true; which iPhone will you be getting? And are you using the Verizon app, VerizonWireless.com, Preordering at a Verizon store or just camping out on launch day.

None. I'll be waiting until December like I normally do, then deciding if I want to change phones.

Those of us with the upgrade early option (by paying off remaining equipment balance) can we just click upgrade early through the My Verizon app to preorder?

Why do people think this is somehow different than ordering any other phone through Verizon? You try to upgrade, the web site tells you what you owe, you pay. Want to see how it will work? Go to the site today, try and buy any phone.

Come on, switch the brains on people.

I am going to try Apple this year. I have always had problems pre-ordering with Verizon. When I did the pre-order for my & plus it took almost two months to get the phone........I went in this weekend to pay off my phone. Should not have any problems now with the pre-order.

Will we find out Trade in deals before pre-orders open ? I know in the past they used to give that info out right around midnight/three am when pre-orders opened.

Does anyone know Verizon's policy for holding the phone at the local UPS/FedEx facility? I would assume that deliveries would start 9/21 if you get a day one date, and I will be out of town that whole week, not getting back till late in the night on 9/21. I hope I can have the facility hold it so that I can get it Saturday.

They have to make one delivery attempt before they can hold a package at the Fedex depot.

Because this is my first time with Verizon.

Last year I preordered on Verizon and they went live like 5-10 min before apple.com did as I was refreshing both at same time. I got it Nov 3rd so I will probably end up doing it on their site again this year. I also went to Target the morning of and picked up another one so that was always an option too

I used an old iPhone 6S and "brought my own device" to Verizon. Started a new line today. Logged in on VZW and Apple.com to test purchasing a new device and Woila! I am eligible for Verizon device financing! WOOT! So I am now moving over to the Apple pre-order thread. Have had better luck ordering there on pre-order morning except the last year. Had to do it through AT&T. Hoping this year the Apple store actually opens and works ON TIME! Lol. Otherwise I'll just go through Verizon.

Last year Verizon’s site was open at least five to ten minutes before Apple’s website so you might want to have Verizon’s website open as well.

Let's go! 7+ here and upgrading to the Xs Max or whatever they're calling it. Looking forward to a better camera and the huge screen.

I plan on iPhone 10 S 128GB. I purchased the iPhone 8 Plus last year because:

1. I buy every iPhone except the 5C is the only one I have skipped and I didn't want to skip a generation
2. iPhone 8 timed perfectly with my 12 month upgrade cycle w/ Verizon Jump/Next and this year, I don't have to wait until November to get the new iPhone because I've had the iPhone 8 for 12 months.
3. I wanted to experience FaceID at Generation 2. I think Apple will have improved it
4. I wanted app developers (including Apple) to catch up with the Notch and I'm glad I waited. I'm still seeing major app updates finally advertising support for iPhone 10 screen.

Looking forward to the larger screen in a smaller body.
