Just got the phone. The gold is beautiful. Restoring it now. Gonna have to run to Apple store for a case ASAP
Was so tempted to go without a case because of how nice it looks. Just got a clear Otterbox instead
Just a quick update:
I’ve been trying to get an answer on a tighter delivery window from FedEx. Not only can you not presign for your package, but you can’t have them drop it at a FedEx pick up location either. Now they are refusing to give me a delivery time. So essentially, if you don’t know what time your driver comes or they are inconsistent, you’re stuck planning on a 12 HOUR DELIVERY WINDOW. If you happen to miss the package because you go out briefly, you have to wait for it to get back to the station before you can tell them what to do with it. In my case, the specific station it is coming from is almost an hour away.

I wish that you could have the option to pick it up at the fedex location. That would be so much more convenient. I have errands and running around to do and I feel trapped in my own house.
I have about $80 left to reach the halfway mark on my X. Then I’ll be ordering my 64GB Max. Is sales tax the only thing I’d have to pay when ordering? If so, anyone know that that comes out to?

Once you hit the halfway mark, it would just be the sales tax on the full price of the phone plus the $30 upgrade fee. Not sure what the tax rate is where you are but in Massachusetts with our 6.25% rate it would be about $68.75 of tax plus the $30 fee for a total of about $98.75.
I first ordered the gold then switched to silver now I'm having buyer regret. I think what I'm going to do is when the phone gets here I will run to the VZ store and see if I can swap it out. The only reason I went with the silver is for resale value (figured the silver would be easier to sell) but now I don't really care, seems like everyone likes the gold.

If you do the same payment plan with Verizon yes. ALso, the final tax depends on where you live, etc. For a 64 GB max, the average tax should be between $74 and $82.
