Anyone else have an issue getting the new iPhone activated? I have the "Waiting for activation: This may take some time" message on my lock screen when I power on the new Xs. I shut off my old X. Do I just wait?

Mine was going for awhile, then noticed I had to click on something for it to continue. Might need your old one back on...

Just got home after grabbing a few accessories and a 44mn Apple Watch 4 Space Grey! I’m not paring this thing to my old phone, it’s going on the new!

I got mine about 2 hours ago... its big! Wow what a size difference next to the X... I really like it. I use a Bamboo Fineline Smart Stylus with the X and now the Max. I can now write in landscape and see what I have written!!! Set up was easy - had to do my S3 watch paired to it as well (got that last year). It went pretty easy...

If I get a phone call it rings on both phones, my iMac, probably my iPad (it was closed) and my watch - this could get crazy....

So good to hear. Hate the size of my X. WANT BIG PHONE FOR BIG HANDS! Lol

Me too! In and out in about 15 minutes for a Space gray Xs Max 64Gb. They had plenty of stock in all sizes

Just a FYI. First time using signature authorization form and they accepted it and left it where I wrote down.

Does anyone have any experience with the new phones and the cellular apple watches? Does anything special need to be done keeping the phone and the cell aspect of the watch in sync? Not worried about pairing the new phone to the old watch, worried about the watch keeping the cell functionalities with the new phone.

That’s all done on Verizons end. They give the watch the phone number and pair it with the correct device for the calls.

The stainless portions should be EXACT. However, the back of the phone will not match anything on the watch.

I didn’t switch mine and it works. I didn’t even think about that. My number was already on it.

It's not totally necessary but it can help circumvent some of those issues.

I did. I ended up calling and it deactivated my 7 Plus but then I was just stuck. Managed to call VZ from XS and all i had to do was power off and back on, lol. Oops.

Mine's not activating. It asked me to call some number, I don't have time for that, I'm working today. This needs to just activate, why are there always issues with this, drives me crazy. To quote the great Dark Helmet, "F*!! Even in the FUTURE nothing works!!"
