From my understanding the system goes by order time. They scan the phone box and the computer system assigns the phone to a order. They don't manually do anything in the computer.
But someone has to actually put the phone in the mail. They're all grabbing orders that the computer spits out relative to what pallets are being unloaded. There must be alot of people doing this, and entering into the computer when the order is shipped. Just my guess.
 
I was hoping to see charges/shipping notifications continue through today. I know my phone will be coming from the Harrisburg, PA hub so I still have plenty of time for overnight shipping. We'll see. 256GB MB, 4:03AM, 9/23.

They probably grab a device off the pallet scan it and the computer finds the oldest order to be filled. Instead of the other way around the computer giving them a device to find i.e. 7+ 128gb black and then the worker having to dig through the boxes in order to find that exact phone.

128 Silver Plus
On same order.
Confirmation email was 3:18 AM EST.
Expected ship date 9/28.

I guess the Silver is holding my order up.

This is what throws me off. Its done by order time yet I was off the phone had a confirmation email by 1206..6 minutes total to get the phone and no movement at all. I got 256 black..not jet black

Again no 32 gig or 256 gig phones have shipped yet. They can't ship phones they don't have yet. They get the phones in and the first ones of that color and size get filled and so on and so on...

So I have had a pending $1 charge on my AmEx all week since I purchased (around 9 a.m. CST on 9/9). Today, I checked, as I have been doing, to see if my total amount was billed. There is no pending or posted charges from Verizon on my AmEx at all now. Should I be worried about this?

My check order status still says the same as it has (expected ship date of 9/28) even though it said 9/16 during my checkout.

Btw, it's a 7+ 32GB Black.


My AmEx charge was pending since order and also disappeared last night. I ordered RG + 128 around 7:30 am Central time. My expected ship date is 9/16 but still in processing. Daughter went to store Monday night and ordered a 7 matte black and her expected ship date is 9/23, which is also still processing. Looks like my phone might be coming out of Omaha to Des Moines, Iowa so overnight is still an option...still holding on to hope since I'm out of town on a business trip all next week!
 
3:16 128 matte Plus still not shipped/charged. Chat CSR told me not to hold my breath, so to speak. They said the roll out is not tied to location, but strictly to order time. They also said it could be related to the fact I ordered a 2nd phone, a non-plus 128 matte.

I'm calling BS on this "order time" I have an order confirmation 6 minutes after the pre orders started and many on here some two hours after that with the same phone have their shipping information already and have posted here.... so time order was placed doesn't hold water.
 
If things follow the same trend as previous years we should another round of shipments sometime within the next couple hours and then another one in the evening like last night.
 
Do you think VZW takes inventory and then starts shipping? That's why we see it in such waves.

Not sure why you're so quick to call somebody out. If there's one thing I've learned from Apple preorders, it's that sometimes they make zero sense.

Not calling anyone out, just pointing the flaw in the CSRS logic that they were employing is all.

Likewise for me. AMEX charged disappeared...could be time soon!
