I'm in the same boat. Ordered a black (128gb) 7+, gold (128gb) 7+ and a RG 7 all on the same order. Confirmation email at 2:20am cst. Has anyone who placed multiple phones within the same order seen any movement?
I ordered the 7+ 128 Jet Black, got the confirmation email at 02:25 EST and I still have nothing. Verizon site still saying Deliver by 9/16 but the Verizon rep told me it will not ship till the 16th

This doesn't directly answer your question, however, I placed three individual order for 7+ phones through Verizon and two have shipped both RG 7+ in 128GB, separate orders, have shipped. The third order, a MB 7+ (128GB) has not shipped and the status of the order has not changed.
I specifically ordered each phone separately, with the thinking being that they would ship as they became available instead of one phone being held up by the others. Not sure if this is an actual thing, but didn't want to take the chance.
I got Jet Black (128gb) 7+, Matte Black (128gb) 7+ and a Gold 7 all on the same order. Crazy how some people got in so soon. I BARELY made it online to checkout with a 12:27AM confirmation email.

I am almost positive your thinking is correct. Because i think the Jet black in my order is holding up the entire thing.
From reading through the thread, someone said it is a mistake to place multiple phones on the same order and that you should place each phone separately. I didn't even think twice about it because I placed all phones on same order when I preordered the 6 two years ago and received all of those on release day. I'll know for next time.
I ordered on Friday, the 9th in the Verizon store. My wife and I are switching from T-Mobile. We didn't get in to the store until about 6 pm. We ordered 128 gb 7+'s, mine in Black, hers in Rose Gold. I got a confirmation email at 6:42 pm, and the email gives a "Deliver By" date of 10.5.2016. The order status page says "Ship By" the same date. Going by what's already been said in previous posts, it looks like not even Verizon reps are very clear on which date is correct, whether the phone will arrive at our door step on the 5th or ship to us on that date. I've seen no charge to our account yet. And where we're new customers to Verizon, I can't do more than just use the order confirmation number to check our status. We have no accounts yet with Verizon until we get and activate our phones, and so we can't use the clever tricks that people have mentioned to check more details about the status or location of our phones. Has anyone seen phones moving that ordered as late as we did? Or is our case of an October delivery pretty accurate?

So just wondering about this, I ordered my iPhone 7 Plus 256GB in Black (Matte) last Friday. I opted to pay up to the 50% mark and trade in my device. Should I have received the trade-in box from Verizon already? Are there any other people in this situation who haven't received the trade in box either, or people who are doing the $650 for trade in and haven't received their box?
Same situation. I'm in Memphis (where many of the iPhones are shipping from) so not sure if it's a geographical thing or not.
I'm trading my 6s in as well. Verizon rep told me the box would arrive when my 7+ arrived.
Was wondering about that too. Paid 50% off and opted to trade in, no box yet. I wouldn't worry.
The 7+ Rose Gold 32GB I ordered is saying the exact same thing. Got confirmation of that one at 03:17 EST
Ok. Good. Because I'm seeing all these people who had deliveries from USPS, and people said it would probably be the trade in box and I'm here like

Mine is 9/28, but hopefully it will be launch day cuz I've only seen a few people have 9/23 and the rest 9/28 with them.I don't know if it's an option for you, but you can take them to a Verizon store. At least that's what my wife and I were told when we pre-ordered our phones at our local store.
