That's empirically untrue.

My specified delivery date was 9/23, and mine was updated this evening to reflect that the device had been sent to the warehouse for shipment, and the ship date was updated to 9/14.

If there's still no update for 256G by tomorrow evening, I will definitely drop by at local VZW to get some intel about launch day stock.
 
I'm going to post this and say good night. My order for a 128 gig matte black had a confirmation email of 2:06 AM I have no charge on my CC and no movement..... if you think when you got your order in as far as to when it was placed makes a rats **** difference, it does not.... evidence of this is rampant on this thread. I'm a little extra pissed this year because I stayed up late and was in the website and done within minutes of the preorders going live. I'll be standing in line next year.
 
If I have no email about payment confirmation or updated status but I have a pending charge on my debit card, do I have anything to worry about?
 
@505pm today I had my card billed and my preorder status changed to ships 9/23 down from 9/28 then in my orders tab of Verizon app it says shipped date 09/14 and this is for a rose gold and black 128g plus ordered at 12:15 am launch day so I have a feeling Friday will be it for a lot of the pushed out dates and ur confirmation will come tonight and tomm. Cheers

I hope we have some good news tomorrow - all of us! (But especially the 256GB Matte Black buyers). As much as I wish we weren't all waiting, it's strangely comforting to be waiting among others, with for something you have in common.

Here's to good news on the flip side!

My understanding is that these are Apple shipments. Apple still needs to forward these to Verizon, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lag time of about a business day.

If you think you will have better luck standing in line, go for it. Verizon is historically really horrible about sending stores an adequate amount of stock on launch day. You are better off pre-ordering.

I was 11th in line at my local Verizon store for the 6/6 Plus launch. 8 of the people ahead of me were there for the 6 because the 6 plus was too big. The other 3 weren't sure which they were getting. When I got in the store they made us listen to their dumb speech about how awesome the phone is and then the employees came to help. The employee told me they were all out of iPhone 6 pluses and they could order it for me to be shipped to my door and I would receive it in November.

Just be patient and it's quite possible they just haven't got around to your order yet.

does Verizon get a lot of phones on Launch day ? I still have 2 other phones ordered that have not shipped yet and I was hoping I can pick up both at a Verizon Wireless store if I camp out from 4am on Friday.
 
All iPhone 7 Plus and Jet Black iPhone 7 Models Sold Out for Launch Day

Mac rumors just posted this stating that all iPhone 7+ models will be sold out on launch day, and Apple is pretty good at saving their inventory for themselves before giving them out to stores like Verizon. So I'm going to say they are going to have limited or no stock of Ip7+'s. You might be able to get a regular Ip7, just not the Jet black.

So Zero change of getting a 128 7+ Rose Gold at a Verizon Store on Launch day ?

Nope, they hardly get any. I doubt you will be able to get a 7 plus by going in store, even if you were the first in line.

lol, sadly nope. I called the store multiple times and they always told me to order online. I ended up stalking the Apple site to see when they were available for pickup at my local Apple Store. I got lucky and got one within a couple weeks instead of the November ship date that was on apples and Verizon's website. This was a much bigger launch, because it was the first year they introduced the bigger screens. It seems to be the same song and dance every year though.

I'm afraid so. I was going to do the same thing. I was going to go wait in line, and just try to buy one at the store if I didn't get my 256GB Ip7+ Black on launch day. It doesn't look like that's going to happen either :/

damm maybe I should try to get the 7 by waiting if it does not ship soon and just wait till I can find a 7+ 128 rose gold I have a pre-order for it but it won't come till October 11th
