Email the buyer, explain what happened, and offer to ship out as soon as your new phone arrives. If they agree, stay in contact every week with them so they know you're legit and do it all on eBay's servers so they have record of your conversations if the person turns around and gives you a bad review or reports you. If the buyer doesn't agree, well then take the hit of the bad review and move on down the line...or send the phone and be phone-less for a while lol.
 
Me too and I'm in north Sioux City.... I think this is ENTIRLEY location based as to when they ship these. I'm assuming you haven't gotten anything charged or any information yet either? The fact I ordered so early 2:06 CST and ordered 128 MB that others have already gotten information for, I think supports this assertion. If I had to guess since NE IA SD are all probably served by this "hub" and the population is "small" comparatively to other hubs.... I really wonder if we ever had a shot at release day? My guess is they will let the orders build until there is a adequate number of phones to ship to that location hub for delivery.... just a theory.
Good theory and would make sense. I haven't seen a single charge or date change on my account since I ordered at 2:10 CST! Yet I did get the 128 Jet Black so you might have better luck than I! Hope we both see some account changes tonight!
 
See I find Verizon opening the app that early rather irritating. That could be a portion of why people with orders within 10-20 min of preorder start time may not be moving up/shipping. Not only that but when preorders actually started the site wasn't showing the iphone 7/+ as available to purchase at first. Anyway if you ordered at 12:01 PST time, you were already late to the game. I should be getting my phone tomorrow, and I still find that BS.

It should have been 12 pst time so everything is fair game.

A click happy Verizon representative cancelled the order for the 128gb matte black instead of the 32gb matte black that I ordered at 3:23am on launch day. Supposedly they entered a "jump the line" form, however I haven't gotten any movement and it still shows a delivery date until October since I didn't realize it until I woke back up that morning and went through my emails. I need to speak to someone who can actually get something done.

Yeah that actually really irritated me as well, especially because I couldn't order through the app-I did a 50% payoff w/trade in, and my app only showed the option to completely pay off my phone so it would have cost me huge amounts to go through the app. Ugh. Verizon really dropped the ball and alienated people doing that, I wondered why when I logged in (as soon as the site quit glitching around 3:15 local time) that some phones were already listed for delivery in late September/October/even November. Now I know. Geez.

Be mad at Verizon all you want. They can't magically make phones appear to ship out to people. They can only work with the supply Apple has sent them.

I can be pissed at Verizon, because I ordered at 3:23am and had a date of 9/23 (which according to these threads probably have been shipped by now), and some incompetent representative cancelled the wrong order (thank GOD I have the chat transcript). I was supposed to have a jump the line form processed by yesterday, and it still hasn't been done. I need to speak to someone who can actually produce results. It has nothing to do with Apple. My husbands JB isn't coming until 10/5, and I'm okay with that because that's the date I got at 3:23am. I'm not okay with some idiot just cancelling the wrong order.
 
Verizon gave me a credit for my $20 upgrade fee, and a $50 credit for the delay.

Yeah. I love all of the "Apple is doomed" folks on the other forums since August. No one will buy this phone. It's a 6SS model. No new features. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Deep down I knew it would sell and Apple is smart enough to include new features (and colors!) to make it more than an "S" update of the 6s/+. Just my rant but the macrumors forums are overwhelmingly negative. You'd never think it's an Apple forum!
Ya I hear ya people talk but every year they sell out. I always hear people that are like I'm not buying this one it the same as last one two weeks later. Oh kooky there new iPhone. It amazes me. Ya the iPhone 8 is possibly getting an overhaul but what if it's get pushed back another year? Lol people man just people

Don't trust that as my phone is being delivered tomorrow and I can still do the clipboard thing with my Verizon confirmation number and get the same results that you are getting. So I'm not so sure about it actually giving you any accurate information at all.

Good to know. I was definitely taking it with a grain of salt anyway, but I'm desperate for any information haha. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe try expressing your displeasure through Twitter. I know when I did, they responded immediately.

That's sucks. Remember they are human also, and happen to mess up from time to time. Sure you have mess some things up at some point in life. Anyway i would just call a CSR rep and be super nice about the issue and go ahead and ask to speak to a manger not bc you feel like they can't handle the issue. just say you feel more comfortable speaking to a manager about this issue since it is a on going issue. If they do say they can't do anything for you don't get mad they and just ask "what can you do make this mistake little better on my end" They might give you free credit or seek out other options on getting phone faster.

CSR people deal with mad people all day long. Having customer being nice and understanding most the time will work harder to fix the issues at hand. I work 11 years in telecom networks and when i do have to speak to a customer and they are rude. I make sure i take more time fixing the issue then nice customer.

Hows this for a theory, verizon preordered a bunch of phones so they have some to sell in their big city stores on Friday before we ever had a chance to do squat. They aren't apple, so couldn't they pre order phones just like us?lol

They know we will all wait for our preordered phones, so they've already sold the ones to us, why not boost sales and sell a bunch to walk ins too?
