So I am hearing that the phones may be shipping with 14.1 and not 14.2. Only time will tell, but I will be checking out the boards on Friday to see what ends up getting posted... I am on 14.2 with my IPPM11, so I may have some extra work to do while setting up the new phone.
 
You just made me feel less crazy!!!! I have literally been dealing with the same thing. I’ve gotten multiple iPhones with Verizon over the years and have never had this kind of problem. Apple Pay was declined. Used a different card. Payment went through. Still says I’m on hold as of this afternoon. Every person I talk too is either confused or says it’s all fine on their end and not to worry. I was told that once they begin shipping I would get an email with a tracking number. Wouldn’t normally be concerned but I’m in the dark with this order and I expect it on launch day.

let me know if you manage to get a shipping email!! Otherwise I may call back again today or early tmrw. Thanks for sharing!
I called again today. After an hour and 4 people, was finally sent to a supervisor. She said lots of people having this problem. She promised me it would be delivered Friday. I still am not banking on it. All the people, including the supervisor said there's still a problem with the payment. I would think it would have needed to ship already to get here by Friday.
 
Ordered my 12 Pro Max on the 6th and it just shipped today, the tracking info specifically says "Per shipped instructions, package will not be delivered until the scheduled delivery date." This sucks! My husband got his 12 Pro like 2 days early! Hopefully it ships with 14.2 and not 14.1 but for me it probably doesn't matter quite so much. I'm going from the XS Max to the 12 Pro Max and win I get a new phone, I usually set it up as a new phone instead of restoring from a backup. Not sure why, just started doing that many upgrades ago. LOL!
 
I had a similar issue last year, I was on the phone maybe 6 hours total before I messaged Rory Sykes and he suggested I just have them cancel the order, re-order and submit a request to "jump the line". When I had my payment issue this year, the representative said I wouldn't need to submit a request because it was highly unlikely it wouldn't get delivered by Friday.

Rory told me he'd been on the phone with Verizon over 100 hours trying to get his iPhone 11 orders delivered on day one, due to undisclosed issues. That kid is crazy! We both received our iPhone day 1.

2020 iPhone pre-order and release dates:

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-order on October 16 released on October 23.
iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max pre-order on November 6 will be released on November 13.

FedEx and UPS did not deliver them until October 23, 2020.

Your husband got his iPhone 12 Pro on Wednesday October 21, 2020? No.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone 12 mini aren't available until November 13, 2020 which is why FedEx and UPS will not deliver them until November 13, 2020.

No, he pre-ordered his phone on October 17. It was to be delivered on Oct. 30 (I think?) and it got here Oct. 28.

The supervisor told me I'd receive a confirmation e-mail and text that my order would ship and be delivered Friday because she just escalated it to an expedited state. Still waiting on either one of those from 5 hours ago.

When using Apple Pay, I’ve randomly had transactions that declined so I had to physically use that card. Now I barely use Apple Pay and used my card over the web to order my 12 Pro Max, because I didn’t trust that my Apple Pay transaction would go through.
 
I've been told by Verizon if you turn off and or uncheck text alerts during the order process that it has been known to turn off all notifications for that order.

I always turn off text alerts, I hate automated texts. All four of my iPhone pre-orders this year are still "processing" in Verizon's system. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were delivered on 10/23 and the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are in Indianapolis with FedEx.

I left all alerts on. Order is still on hold. Awesome.
 
Upgrading to iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB Blue. Verizon App shows shipped but no tracking number. Checked FedEx app and it shows will be delivered on the 13th. Phone is sitting in FedEx Facility in IN since Nov 8.
 
I have two Pro Max phones coming. One shipped from California a few days ago (but hasn’t moved from Fresno) with UPS and the other from Pennsylvania a few days ago (been in Linwood a few days now) with FedEx. I notice while they both schedule to deliver the 13th, the UPS now says “Date Tentative” on it. Is this normal? There’s no exceptions shown.
Mine is still in Fresno with only a origin scan

What does the pre-order status page say? (when your logged out, go to the Order Status page and manually put in your pre-order information don't login again)
It says processing. We received your order and it is in process. Payment not yet taken. The charge on my credit card begs to differ my payment hasn’t been taken.

Verizon charged my Amex three times for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and once for the iPhone 12 mini, for whatever reason they still said the iPhone 12 Pro Max order payment didn't process. As you know I cancelled and re-ordered. So, right now I have 4x iPhone 12 Pro Max and 1x iPhone 12 mini full price charges on my card.

I will deal with it once I receive the devices, I don't want them accidentally refunding the wrong payment causing FedEx to return the package(s).

oh my Lordy- that's crazy of them. Definitely agree you should wait to receive the phones. I've even been scared to check the order status on the app incase I fat finger something and somehow cancel my order. LOL. Friday cannot come soon enough.


On another note, UPS shipment is still stuck in Fresno and FedEx is in NJ.

I've heard worse from Rory.

He told me earlier today, Verizon charged him for 25 iPhone X, he ordered 5, when he returned the extra 20 via FedEx they were delivered to the warehouse but apparently in between them getting delivered, scanned and opened by Verizon someone at the warehouse stole them.

He has friends at FedEx that helped him verify and track everything, and it still took 8 months to get a refund from Verizon. Outrageous!
