Yeah definatly not a good idea! Since the phone isn't even activated the $17 a month insurance Verizon sells might not even cover that loss. Worst case is they will bring it back the second day or you will have to go pick it up at the UPS/ FedEx placePre-signing is possible with an indirect signature. I don't recommend it. As you (not FedEx, UPS, Apple or Verizon) will be responsible if it gets stolen. Verizon has disabled the option to electronically sign for the package, but you're free to find a release form online, sign that and leave it for them.

It won't be covered at all if you pre-sign for the package. The next day they will attempt delivery will be Monday. As Verizon requested weekday delivery.Yeah definatly not a good idea! Yeah that's kind of what I suspect. You would just be out the $1200Nobody will cover it if you pre-sign for the package.
I don't have any evidence but anecdotally speaking, it seems that a few folks have had trouble with apple pay. I just went with the good old debit or credit card. But definitely glad you're getting a phone anyway tomorrow! Good stuff!My 128gb silver somehow got cancelled by Verizon - was assured by agent when the payment for the Blue 128gb had to be updated from Apple Pay, that the silver was problem free and not to worry.
saw no payment taken this morning for that device, and contacted Verizon - cancelled somehow three days ago.
Luckily I secured a preorder & pick up window at my local Best Buy. It’ll be just my luck that FedEx attempts to deliver during my pick up window...
edit: was told by Verizon chat this morning that 12/4 was the estimated ship date for a Silver 128gb.

When I called them earlier about an unrelated matter the representative noticed that my orders from 10/16 were still "processing", he immediately apologized and I had to stop him from transferring me to someone to get that resolved ASAP.Success! Contacted Verizon through their chat and got my tracking number. It’s currently in transit and on time. It’s in Indianapolis IN, and I’m in Detroit. 🎉😄🎉
